Modern TV Stands

This tv stand just came today. It looks great and took me a maximum of 20 minutes to put together with phone call interruptions. I don't necessarily think it looks as "high end" as others have stated, but it definitely looks good with a modern feel. I was unaware that "engineered wood" meant thick particle board. In that regards is why I felt it was a little expensive ($230 at the time) for 70lbs of particle board. The shelves feel very sturdy with all my electronics piled on them. One thing I would make note of, the descriptions states this stand accommodates tv's from 50-68". I have a 51" Samsung that looked gigantic on my old tv stand. This stand being as wide as it is makes the tv itself look kind of minuscule. I would only recommend this stand if you have a tv that is 55"+. If you're going to buy a large flat panel tv, you probably are still going to want it to feel like it's a large tv."..."  Read more

After looking at several "big box" stores and doing an exhaustive Internet search for a TV stand for our 60" flat screen TV, we decided on this model, and are extremely happy with the purchase. The price was the same or less than some decidedly homely and cheap-looking 60" units seen elsewhere, and the design is possibly the most elegant, practical, and unobtrusive we found anywhere. The sleek, simple lines, glass doors, and metal feet fit well with our mid-century modern decor, there's plenty of space for components, setup was straightforward, and construction/materials very solid for a unit in this price range. I can't think of anything I don't like about it, except perhaps that the black finish does show dust easily, but that's sort of a given. In short, we love this TV stand (as much as one can love a piece of furniture) and are really glad we didn't settle for any of the other TV stands we looked at before we found this one."..."  Read more

This TV stand is great, it was so easy to put together and is so light weight even with the TV sitting on it which is great for me because I move my furniture around a lot. It's very sturdy and I didn't think it would move around so easily because it doesn't have feet on the bottom like most TV stands but it just glides across the carpet, I think that makes this stand so mobile and fuss free. This would be a great buy for anyone looking for a no fuss money saving option, I'm glad I purchased this TV stand and wish I had another big TV so I could order another one."..."  Read more

I was looking for a tv stand that wasn't to bulky or a piece of furniture since it was going next to a heavy wood and stone fireplace. The area has a soft corner and I wanted it as far back as I could. This tv stand fit the bill. It isn't to deep and the corners are cut off enough to get it as far back as I liked. The directions were very easy to understand and everything was well marked. I wasn't intrested in mounting my tv so I was a little concerned that the mounting bracket would show above the tv set but my 46" tv covered it fine. I was also looking for some type of coverage for the cords and the full lenght mounting device does the job nicely. My home is neither modern or contempery but the openness of this stand lets it blend in not stand out.
