After years (decades) of wanting a stand mixer, I got this one and although I love it, there is very little "space" in between the beater and the top of the machine and the bowl causing me to have to shut the mixer off in order to add things like sugar or flour without feeling as if it will spill since all the parts feel so close, if that makes sense. I don't know if this is because it's a bowl lift and the tilt head has more "space" but that's my only negative and maybe all stand mixers are made this way and it's just a new-to-me thing. [...]The mixer is the "bomb", compared to my old one this one is a Rolles-Royce and my old one a golf cart. I can't believe how much air this mixer puts into egg whites, what a difference in a cake. I just finished making refrigerator rolls, and how wonderful to be able to have a machine knead it for you.
