Hamilton Beach Classic Stand Mixer

This is my first new stand mixer. The one I had before was from the '70's I bought at a yard sale. It worked but it was noisy, heavy and difficult to store. I only had one set of beaters for it so there was only so much I could do. My new Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer is so quiet and powerful, I couldn't believe how well it works. It's light weight and easy to store plus I love the sleek design. Suddenly I feel like a "grown-up" cook! ;D I also love the versatility of using it as a stand or hand mixer. I was a bit disappointed the stand mixer doesn't have a paddle attachment but after a few uses, I found I don't need it. I can use my beaters for 90% of what I make and then switch to the dough hooks for the bread. This is an affordable stand mixer perfect for the average home cook. I love my new Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer and look forward to using it for years to come."..." Read more

Viking 5 Quart Stand Mixer in Black Viking

Prior to purchasing a mixer I spoke with people from local businesses to find out which mixer that had chosen, and for the most part two brands were in the majority. They were Hobart and Viking. Hobart was well out of my price range so my choice was evident. After using the Viking mixer it is obviously the perfect choice. The mixer is sleek looking, but muscular at work. It has cut mixing time because of the efficient design. Price comaprison for other 5 quart brand mixers is similar but the motor rating on the Viking is much higher which hopefully will make the Viking last much longer. I am thoroughly satisfied with the Viking 5 quart mixer."..." Read more

KitchenAid Professional 600 Series Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer in Nickel Pearl

After years (decades) of wanting a stand mixer, I got this one and although I love it, there is very little "space" in between the beater and the top of the machine and the bowl causing me to have to shut the mixer off in order to add things like sugar or flour without feeling as if it will spill since all the parts feel so close, if that makes sense. I don't know if this is because it's a bowl lift and the tilt head has more "space" but that's my only negative and maybe all stand mixers are made this way and it's just a new-to-me thing. Overall, it's a great machine!"..." Read more

Viking 5 Quart Stand Mixer in Bright Red with Optional Accessories

Weve had this mixer for about 5 years, and it is fantastic! With the metal gears you dont have to worry about it stripping like the nylon gears in other mixers, and the optional accessories are easy to use as well. This mixer is great for everything from bread to royal icing. I love the stainless steel bowl, the handle is so convenient! My only regret is that I didnt buy a second bowl from the start."..." Read more
