I LOVE my new hand mixer! I have a stand mixer that belonged to my grandmother, and I don't often want to drag it out of the cupboard because it's so heavy - and it tends to smell like burning rubber if I'm using it for a long time. The hand mixer is so easy to use: it mixed my cake batter quickly and easily, is lightweight enough so that I can hold it while mixing, stands upright nicely in between mixing phases (alternating adding ingredients and such), and is a snap to clean. Tip: Turn it on before sticking it into whatever you're mixing. Even on the "1" setting, the beaters spin really quickly for about the first 2-3 seconds it's on. As long as I remember to turn it on, wait a couple of seconds and THEN stick it in my batter, everything is A-ok!"..."  Read more

Clean up is a breeze and digital read out is easy to follow and makes it nearly impossible to make a mistake. It makes a lot of bread dough, Three loaves my first batch, but I really only need a stand mixer to make cake batter and mix cookie dough which I have gotten to lazy to mix by hand. I replaced two broken worn out appliances, saving [$] cash and even more valuable counter space! What a great deal. The packaging appeared to have been opened and resealed-White foam which surrounded unit was broken and taped up. The DVD which was included was for a older version of the unit but I got the idea. Back in forth. kitchenaide or Cuisinart for many months. Chose this mixer because of style, the location on top for optional attachments, folding button, Teflon coated paddle, and dough hook, and 800 watt motor and price. I really like this mixer. No problems at all. It is stable yet not too heavy. ESP like the splash guard compared to KA. I made the right decision. Also my old mixer had a juicer 1943 sunbeam mixmaster, which I use weekly. KA has no juicer attachment and Cuisinart does have a juicer attachment. con. Why not have a blender attachment?"..."  Read more
