This light is so unique --everytime people come to the house we get compliments. We hung it in our dining room over our table. Because we have 16 ft ceilings, we had to order additional chain from Minka Lavery, which was not a problem, since they sell additional chain by the foot. We were a little hesitant ordering over the internet, since we weren't able to see the light in person, but we are so pleased with the purchase! We even installed a dimmer which shows off the beautiful venetian scavo glass-the dimmer the light, the more copper the glass looks, the brigher the light, the more white it looks...Overall a great buy!"..."  Read more

Pleased with the lights and found them to be of high quality. My only complaint comes with the mounting instructions. The instructions are generic and only show the crossbar mounting bracket for in the wall box. My lights came with a circular plate for mounting in the box and leveling the light. Took me until I installed the second light on how to figure how to use the mounting plate. It would have been nice for the instructions to include this type of mounting plate. I bought this for my parents (mainly mom) who have hated the lack of adequate lighting in their kitchen for the nearly 30 years they have lived there. The house is 40-50 years old and has 8 stippled ceilings. This is a large fixture (check your measurements before purchasing) but it looks great even in my parents smaller kitchen. The white blends with the ceiling and therefore it is not noticably large. Had it been brown, it would have overwhelmed the room for sure. My parents have a lot of dark oak cabinets that surround their rectangular-shaped kitchen and I was concerned the white may not look good, but as I stated it blends in with the ceiling and there is enough white trim that it looks great. It does a fabulous job providing light because of the 2 large florescent bulbs which are not includes but cost very little at the hardware store. Installation was difficult because I could not bracket into a stud, and so I bought and used toggle bolts at the hardware store. The fixture is very secure but as the other reviewer stated, it does show some light peeking through where it meets the ceiling and I may have to caulk."..."  Read more

I love this chandelier! It is perfect for my daughter's room. It is a nursery right now, but this chandelier will grow with her as she gets older. My husband did the installation himself. He said the directions were not good. We were concerned we wouldn't get enough light from it, but it actually gives off a good amount of light for her room which is 11'x11'. It casts a nice glow of light compared to the ceiling light that was installed previously. The crystals are clear which is good. I just wanted to point that out because they look like they have a brown tint to them in the picture. The price was great too.
