The aesthetics are beautiful, but it requires an R30 bulb which does not fill the cone, so it looks a little lost inside the recessed light. An R40 bulb would have filled the enclosure much nicer! alas, it is impossible to get an R40 into it due to the glass trim. I am considering buying a socket extender to lower the R30 bulb an inch or so, to fill the enclosure a little better. But it's yet another hassle and cost. So although they are beautiful, I would not recommend them unless you can live with a small bulb in a large enclosure (reminds me of a bell) or buy a separate extender. A socket extender will run you about $3 + shipping online, or about $8 at a store. I did not see Wayfair sell them. Minka should've provided an extender in the box!
