I was concerned because our house tends to be more traditional, but this is the perfect mix of some traditional aspects (bronze finish/ivory shade) and new/more modern aspects (shape/not your traditional dining room chandelier). Mollie B from Raleigh, NC	5.0 9/13/2011 Love it! We put this in our dining room and it is perfect! Our dining room is transitional and a bit more open to the kitchen than a formal dining room. We have darker bronze fixtures over our kitchen island and the two complement each other nicely. I like this fixture because it combines the contemporary shape of the drum shade w/some more traditional elements. One thing to note...the shade is a cream silk...I think the description says it is glass. But the photo doesn't look like glass so it was what we expected. Was this helpful? Yes / No
