Was just okay

I was happy with this light except the white on the wood trim and the cover were two different colors of white. It was obvious and catches your attention. It was a good size for the kitchen and gives off a lot of light. I think it was over priced for what it looks like after its up. I thought if you spend a lot of money you get good quality. not always true. shop around more on this one.
Very nice and does the job of lighting the area

I bought this for my parents (mainly mom) who have hated the lack of adequate lighting in their kitchen for the nearly 30 years they have lived there. The house is 40-50 years old and has 8 stippled ceilings. This is a large fixture (check your measurements before purchasing) but it looks great even in my parents smaller kitchen. The white blends with the ceiling and therefore it is not noticably large. Had it been brown, it would have overwhelmed the room for sure. My parents have a lot of dark oak cabinets that surround their rectangular-shaped kitchen and I was concerned the white may not look good, but as I stated it blends in with the ceiling and there is enough white trim that it looks great. It does a fabulous job providing light because of the 2 large florescent bulbs which are not includes but cost very little at the hardware store. Installation was difficult because I could not bracket into a stud, and so I bought and used toggle bolts at the hardware store. The fixture is very secure but as the other reviewer stated, it does show some light peeking through where it meets the ceiling and I may have to caulk.
Better than I expected.

Installed in a kitchen where a lot of bright light was needed. I was afraid it might look cheap, but it does not. It's sturdy and the trim looks like painted wood. The white color blends into the ceiling color and looks wonderful in the kitchen without standing out. There was a little light leaking out where it meets the ceiling, but caulking around the inside took care of that. Very pleased with the look of it and it provides lots of light.

This product is functional and useful. I installed with help of a friend. This product is basic in design, but has a modern look to update any room.
