We did not purchase a rug pad to go underneath it, and I don't think I will because it doesn't slide around on a wood floor and it is plenty soft. The colors are true, with no running or "gray" look. It is a thin rug, which is the only thing I was worried about. I have all wood floors and wanted a soft surface. It is not super plush or thick, but it is still very soft and it looks amazing!! Especially freshly vacuumed. Designer rugs with this same chevron pattern cost a TON, so I was happy to find a more affordable version. I waited a month for a 25% off code and used that, so the cost for an 8x10 rug could not be beat! I am so pleased with my purchase, it is a striking rug and would go great with any colors.
