Midwest Pets Cat Playpen - 130

I am a foster Mom for cats and kittens and got overloaded this season so I needed something bigger for the kittens to play in as they grew. I don't have much money so this play pen was an absolute bargain. I love that the wire spacing is smaller than the cages I use and I love the two sets of double doors. The doors also have a lock latch which is great for animals that want to try their paws at breaking out. I used the 3 shelves (creative use of zip ties) to divide the cage into two parts. They don't quite go all the way across so the bigger kittens can climb to the top level and play there. The shelving is strong enough for a small litter box and food and water bowls and kittens. I also set the cage on some empty litter buckets so it was off the floor and easier for me to clean. The cage is light enough to move easily on my hardwood floors without the casters. The shelves are very sturdy with the wire backing so don't be fooled by the flimsy piece of plastic on the top. I found the set up to be fairly easy. The wire is not the heavy gauge that you'd find in a dog cage, but it certainly does the job for kittens. Size was romier than I expected. Shipping was incredibly fast. All in all, a great item.

This time I purchase one of the returned ones to save n cost. This one was a bit harder to put together so I can see how it may have been returned. But never the less is came together and like the other one I purchased new I zip-tied the sides and top shut for a stronger pen. I foster kittens for my local city animal shelter and I use these to house the kittens at night for sleeping quarters. I purchased extra plush beds so each platform has one. The kittens love them. I like it because I can put a litter box, food and water and the kittens can (and do) sleep on the platform beds.

received cage 2 days after ordering. assembly was ez and wheels were a little tricky but the cage is great. its about 5 foot tall. my cats love it! def a great buy.. also the pad that comes with it is super soft :-)

I love this cat playpen we got for our two cats! Though the cats aren't really enclosed in it all that often it gives us the flexibility to put our cats somewhere when we have guests and not take up a bathroom with their litter box/food. The pricing was good and it goes together quite easily though to make it more stable I added some zip ties at certain connection points.

We got this for our outdoor cat to come inside during the summer heat. He has plenty of room to lay down and can switch positions. We can also fit a litter box in there. Like many others, we put two shelves together to make a larger platform and that's where our cat spends most of his time. The two shelves together make it so we can't open on of the four doors, but that is no problem at all. The parts don't fit together all that well, so we used plastic ties to strengthen the structure. It will just be a pain when we want to take the playpen down in the fall.

As all have said, you need two people and I didn't have anyone else but did get it together. Was a little disappointed in the quality. I have a number of animal crates and this one is relatively flimsy compared to others. I like the locking doors and having wheels help - do appreciate that they put in a few extra screws because they are so small it was difficult to put the screws in around the wheels. Would I buy another one of these - no. I would probably invest in a higher quality pen.

It is easy to assemble with two people. My cats weren't sure at first but now love it. We were having too many accidents around the house while we were gone so now they go in here while we are gone and sleep and just look out the living room window at the birds. Accidents are gone for now and the removal tray at the bottom makes litter box spills easy clean up.

I bought a returned product for $85 and it was fine. The playpen was a bit difficult for me to put together at first, but after I got the hang of it, I was able to figure it out. Fortunately, it doesn't have a bunch of screws or bolts. Now that it's together I'm pretty happy with it. The only problem I have is that my cat will only stay on the bottom of the playpen or the 1st shelf. Perhaps with more time, he'll get up to the other shelves. Also, since he's a 14 pounder, I have some patio furniture by it in case he does jump up and the playpen moves (despite the wheel locks, which I'm not convinced will hold the playpen in place if he leaps). Overall, I'm pretty happy with it - it's come in handy for having him out on the balcony with me. Like others, I wouldn't fold it up b/c it took too long to put together. But I think it will hold up outside.

Arrives packed flat. Can be a bit tricky to assemble and I would suggest that you get a second person to help. Once it is assembled it is very sturdy.

I now have five of those. I use them to put up a queen in heat or young males before they go to their new homes or to do the 12 hour wait before a spay/alter. I did buy extra beds to attach to the purches. Just make sure to tighten the screws on the wheel well. I finally got locked washers for them. It opens up quickly amd is very strudy.
