Beside being very well made and have amazing strength in it's construction - it's not bad to look at - I have 2 degus in the bottom and three in the top and they are extremely active and happy!
The Best Cage for a Ferret!

This cage is the best cage money can buy for a ferret or other small animal. My favorite feature is the double doors on the front. Most other cages have only a small door that takes up only a fraction of the front side, making it nearly impossible to reach in and clean the cage without having to take it completely apart. The dual-opening doors make it quick and easy to take out the bottom tray and wipe everything down. Also, the modular nature is a huge plus. I bought this lower portion first, and was then able to purchase the add-on unit later on when I got new furry additions, without having to purchase an entirely new cage. The black hammertone finish is attractive and looks nice sitting in a room, unlike the multicolored plastic cages you see at the pet store. Being entirely made of metal, this cage will last a lifetime, and is well worth the investment.

It's a great product at a great price :D it only took about 45 min to put together even with my fuzzy helping...the only thing I would say is have a hammer and a block of wood (the wood is so you don't scratch it) to be able to fully insert the tabs...great product very solid

Great product. All of the reviews I read stated you needed two people to put it together. Although it is very difficult to get some of the pieces to fit together I was able to put it up alone. You do need a hammer. Overall I love the cage.
Wonderful--except for the pan

I have tried so many different cages for various pets. This one happens to be my favorite of all time! There are so many ways it can be set up, and since the doors open all of the way, cleaning it is really easy. You can tell the company cared about the pets AND their owners. The only thing that gets in the way of cleaning a bit is the metal/plastic shelf, but it can be removed.

We use this for nursing momma cats that have been rescued from shelters. Food and water stays clean on shelf. Momma has room underneath for box to keep babies in and litter box on other side. Also can be used for isolation with sick cats/kittens. Easy to clean.
Worth the money

Ferret doesn't mind being in this cage because she has so much room; she constantly tried to get out of the previous one - biting the wire etc. Cage is easy to assemble (and disassemble I suppose). No tools are required however a rubber mallet or some type of padded hammer will make it easier. Build quality is good, in fact it is shipped with very little padding inside box; although box had taken some damage all pieces of the cage inside were a-ok.

I recently purchased this cage after considering many others. It is a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. It is plenty roomy for my female ferret, extremely easy to clean, which for me was a major concern as my ferret is still a baby, and these lovable little things require some patience for litter training. Easy access double doors swing wide and are ferret proof.
