This is a really nice microwave with a lot of great features. However, it was packaged damaged, and when I contacted Sharp they're having me take it in to a repair place 30 minutes away. It's a HEAVY microwave, so I won't be able to do this alone. A little frustrated with that. Now, about the actual microwave. It's a great size, and looks great on the counter. The brushed steel is really nice and the overall look is sleek and, so far, very easy to clean. Since it replaced a very old microwave, I find myself overcooking things because I set them in there too long. This microwave cooks quickly and evenly. It's powerful and so far I love the features I've used. The sensor reheat doesn't work (due to the damage) so I can't review that. I'll update this reveiw once I get it serviced and can use all it's nifty buttons. Great purchase, so happy with this and am looking forward to using it for years to come."..."  Read more

We owned a sharp microwave for over 12 years and it finally went bad. Be bought a microwave from a retail store shortly after the sharp quit working. From the beginning that microwave was a lemon. I finally got tired of it and bought the Sharp R520LKT. We are very pleased with this microwave so far. It works better than the first Sharp and also has more selection buttons. We were looking for a convection microwave and this one seemed to have the best quality within the price range. The door and latch buttons have a solid feel compared to most others we looked at. Also the turn table is a nice ceramic. The knobs and start button light up in order to help guide you along, a very intuitive feature. Like anything it is not perfect though. While the door is stainless steel, the side are all painted surfaces. While it still looks nice, all stainless would have looked nicer albeit at additional cost. Also since you select the cooking time with a knob it only moves in 10 second increments. While thats not super critical, it does take away some fine control when heating certain foods.
