I use l/3 cup of orville redenbaucher kernels with just a bit of olive oil and about 2 tbsp of butter. Put the top on and microwave on high for 3 minutes 40 seconds. Almost all kernals are popped and the taste is unbelievable. I have no problem with discoloration that others have mentioned. They must have left it in waay too long. This is like a gift from God after 2 years of trying to cook microwave popcorn in my microwave with frequent fires, smoke and burned or just plain awful popcorn.
