My parents had a mica shade lamp when I was a child and I always loved the glowing light it produced. I looked at other ones in stores and felt they were cheap and poorly made. This one is sturdy and the mica is thick enough to be less fragile than other lamps I've looked at. I thought that for the price it was very well made. The copper has a nice patina on it. The light is pleasant and easy on the eyes. The base is broad and not likely to be knocked over easily. I bought one for my husband's bed table and now I'm jealous and going to get a matching one for mine. Should have bought two in the first place but wanted to check the look first. The packaging was excellent.

Rustic to us old timers....steampunk to the new generation....this lamp(s) will complement any room design....lamp has to be on a higher end table in order for the light that is generated to be useful. It is small but cute and versatile.
Fabulous and unique

You can't buy this lamp just anywhere. It is very unique. That's exactly why I buy at wayfair because visitors to my home always comment that my decor is different than anyone else.

This is such a beautiful lamp, also its a very reasonable price.
Overpriced for the quality

These lamps are not as substantial (heavy) as they appear. If $100 less, they'd barely be worth it. Also, they are made in China and I wish all retailers would list this info in the description.
