Messenger Bags

The Knomo Brompton Kobe Soft Messenger is well crafted and a good value. The quality leather is soft and supple and stitched with detail. The various pockets in the bag help compartmentalize small loose things such as coins, keys, business cards, pens, etc. The padding for the laptop compartment could have been just a bit more thicker but that would have just added bulk and unwanted weight. Leather bags tend to be on the heavier side but this is a fairly light bag. You get a lot for the buck. Comparable quality bags are about $100 more. I would highly recommend this bag. We have had another Trager computer bag for about a decade. Their bags are extremely rugged and ours shows little signs of wear. The Odyssey bad is somewhat larger -- we find this useful as a plane carryon bag for computer and assorted other stuff. There are two outside pockets on the bag's ends that are useful for small items like cellphones and small umbrellas and two outer zip pockets (1 large, 1 small) that are useful for plane trips. Inside the bag is very roomy, with two zip compartments and an outer open one (the photos from Trager could be more informative about the bag's pockets). Side straps can rein in the bag's sides. My only criticisms are that there could be more pen pockets in the smaller zip section and that the business card pocket on the outside of the bag underneath the flap could be longer. A dedicated compartment for water bottles would be desirable. We are glad we purchased this one (for trips) and would recommend it to others."..."  Read more

On the product: I got exactly what I was hoping for in this bag. It's very spacious and allows me to carry my textbooks, computer components for my job, and pretty much anything else I need. I have carried a 19 inch flat-panel monitor in this thing, as well as a 10 pound Alienware M17x laptop, though it doesn't fit in the laptop slot. I find the two opening flaps with the magnetic snaps to be very useful when I want to get into the bag, but if you are concerned about zipping your bag then don't buy this. The snaps are your only closing option; however, this doesn't have any bearing on my use of the product. Overall, an excellent purchase, well worth the price, and more. Other thoughts: This thing is just plain cool. I love the High Voltage strap and canvas material, it's an awesome look. I don't know if this will be a factor in your purchase, but if it is then go for it. I've received dozens of comments on this bag, a number of compliments and even a few jokes about people stealing it. It's definitely eye-catching, yet it is sturdy and practical to boot.
