Trager Odyssey Laptop Bag Trager
Trager Odyssey Laptop Bag

We have had another Trager computer bag for about a decade. Their bags are extremely rugged and ours shows little signs of wear. The Odyssey bad is somewhat larger -- we find this useful as a plane carryon bag for computer and assorted other stuff. There are two outside pockets on the bag's ends that are useful for small items like cellphones and small umbrellas and two outer zip pockets (1 large, 1 small) that are useful for plane trips. Inside the bag is very roomy, with two zip compartments and an outer open one (the photos from Trager could be more informative about the bag's pockets). Side straps can rein in the bag's sides. My only criticisms are that there could be more pen pockets in the smaller zip section and that the business card pocket on the outside of the bag underneath the flap could be longer. A dedicated compartment for water bottles would be desirable. We are glad we purchased this one (for trips) and would recommend it to others."..." Read more

Timbuk2 Medium Classic Messenger Bag Timbuk2
Timbuk2 Medium Classic Messenger Bag

I purchased the Small and Medium classic messenger bags by Timbuk2. I carry the small one to work with me everyday, and it fits almost everything. I use the medium when I need to carry some shoes with me or need to take a lot more stuff with me. The medium fits a lot of stuff, and I wish I had one when I was in college. Words can't express the quality of these bags. They are tough, waterproof, stylish, and very handy for everyday use. I have no doubt that they'll last me for decades and still look good. I'm rarely separated from my small messenger, and my wife calls it my man purse. All jokes aside, if you are looking for a messenger bag, this is THE one to get."..." Read more

Sumdex Business Messenger Briefcase in Black Sumdex

I bought this bag to replace an old canvas messenger bag that's beginning to show wear and tear. I mostly use it lightly, though, to carry my papers and books to and from my work. After using the new bag for a month, I have no complaints. It's spacious enough for me to include everything I need on a daily basis, and is relatively light. There are a lot of pockets in it that I can use for different purposes. I have been out in the rain a few times and not had any problems with it getting wet. I like the simple black cut of it, which I find it suitable for a professional environment. In the negative column, the main buckle which holds the front flap down is sometimes hard to get fastened properly - there's no clear, satisfying 'snap' when it locks, so it's sometimes hard to tell that you haven't done so."..." Read more

Manhattan Portage Europa Deluxe Bag Manhattan Portage

okay so... it's a great bag that expands. I think i got the medium size for the money savings... I should have gone bigger but i feared it would be too bulky. I should have gone bigger 'cause the ends of the loaf of sliced bread doesn't always stay square. Anyway, i've definitely reduced my plastic bag usage. I wear this bag everyday i go to work. The two compartments on the front are large but it's not really nice to put small things in -- would require too much digging, so i've got a paperback book in 1 and a half roll of T.P. and vitamins in the other pouch. I keep my wallet in the front flap zippered pouch every once in a while 'cause i don't need to open up the bag if i need it, also keeps it out of my pants pocket. So, a Highly useful bag, but i wish 1 of the compartments had a bunch of tighter spaces to put small things. the only other gripe might be that it's not fully ergonomic. I throw it over my back when i run to the bus (the strap i keep as tight as possible) but i still find i could use a 2nd strap to hold it onto my back. have you seen those 1's that go from the strap to the bottomside of the bag? ... a 3rd point of contact would be ideal. okay that's it. Edit; this bag is made of a durable fabric, but it's not padded so it doesn't hold a shape... however that loaf of bread thing doesn't mean i don't put bread in there, i just don't pack the bag as full and it's uber fine. Loose papers or flimsy duotangs definitely need a hard binder to back them so they don't get crumpled."..." Read more
