Messenger Bags

I use this bag to carry my laptop, lunch, etc to & from work. A few gripes: I wish 1) the laptop compartment had more cushioning 2) the velcro strap that secures my laptop was snugger, and 3) that the secondary compartment (that holds misc. smaller items) wasn't so flimsy. Once you buckle everything up for transport, it looks great, but when you unbuckle the bag, the material is not very stiff so it sags a bit. Aside from that, I do like the style. It is very comfortable, even for me at 6'7". The cupholder on the side is a nice practical touch for my recycled-plastic coffee mug. And it's super light. To be honest, if it weren't for the fact that it was made from recycled materials, I probably would have paid an extra $10 for a nice-looking, highly-rated Targus bag from the world's largest online retailer, but you make "sacrifices" for earth-friendly decisions like this and I say it's totally worth it."..."  Read more

We have had another Trager computer bag for about a decade. Their bags are extremely rugged and ours shows little signs of wear. The Odyssey bad is somewhat larger -- we find this useful as a plane carryon bag for computer and assorted other stuff. There are two outside pockets on the bag's ends that are useful for small items like cellphones and small umbrellas and two outer zip pockets (1 large, 1 small) that are useful for plane trips. Inside the bag is very roomy, with two zip compartments and an outer open one (the photos from Trager could be more informative about the bag's pockets). Side straps can rein in the bag's sides. My only criticisms are that there could be more pen pockets in the smaller zip section and that the business card pocket on the outside of the bag underneath the flap could be longer. A dedicated compartment for water bottles would be desirable. We are glad we purchased this one (for trips) and would recommend it to others."..."  Read more

I had been looking for an inexpensive "messenger" bag like this for months. All that seemed to be available were huge "laptop" bags with a cushioned compartment for the machine, not what I wanted. I had just about given up when I discovered Wayfair and this wonderful bag. It is exactly what I wanted, not too big, lightweight, no laptop padding, and lots great small pockets for my "stuff". It is very durable and has held up just fine to my daily wear and tear. I love this bag. My only regret is than I didn't buy 2 or more right away."..."  Read more

This is my second "Tank" Messenger bag. I ordered the new bag because the old bag was starting to wear out, after seven years of daily use. I'm especially fond of the fact that you can fit a lot into this bag, while still carrying it comfortably. My only complaint is that they have yet to redesign the slide-through fitting where the adjustable strap attaches to the bag. This plastic "loop" always gets twisted out of position and causes the strap to bunch up. I was always afraid that it might break on my old bag, and while it never did, it's still a concern for the new bag."..."  Read more
