I use this bag to carry my laptop, lunch, etc to & from work.
A few gripes: I wish 1) the laptop compartment had more cushioning 2) the velcro strap that secures my laptop was snugger, and 3) that the secondary compartment (that holds misc. smaller items) wasn't so flimsy. Once you buckle everything up for transport, it looks great, but when you unbuckle the bag, the material is not very stiff so it sags a bit.
Aside from that, I do like the style. It is very comfortable, even for me at 6'7". The cupholder on the side is a nice practical touch for my recycled-plastic coffee mug. And it's super light.
To be honest, if it weren't for the fact that it was made from recycled materials, I probably would have paid an extra $10 for a nice-looking, highly-rated Targus bag from the world's largest online retailer, but you make "sacrifices" for earth-friendly decisions like this and I say it's totally worth it."..." I searched for a leather bag for my laptop for a long time before find this one. To be honest I was concerned about buying this kind of purchase online and wish that they had better pictures, but the bag was perfect when it arrived. Excellent quality and very classy (mine is black). Plus it was about $100 less that other bags I found online. I bought it for my laptop. I put a strip of foam in the bottom of it for protection. The sides have enough pockets that I feel very safe carrying by Dell Lattitude around. Lots of pockets for carrying papers and folders. We have had another Trager computer bag for about a decade. Their bags are extremely rugged and ours shows little signs of wear. The Odyssey bad is somewhat larger -- we find this useful as a plane carryon bag for computer and assorted other stuff. There are two outside pockets on the bag's ends that are useful for small items like cellphones and small umbrellas and two outer zip pockets (1 large, 1 small) that are useful for plane trips. Inside the bag is very roomy, with two zip compartments and an outer open one (the photos from Trager could be more informative about the bag's pockets). Side straps can rein in the bag's sides. My only criticisms are that there could be more pen pockets in the smaller zip section and that the business card pocket on the outside of the bag underneath the flap could be longer. A dedicated compartment for water bottles would be desirable. We are glad we purchased this one (for trips) and would recommend it to others."..." Read more

Men, don't try to figure out what millions have already done for you. I found myself having to conside the clothing I buy to store a wallet, a camera, change and cash. Admit it we missed the boat over some perception of others. Now we decide to step up and most of us have been buying :messenger bags", Messenger bags? Most of them look like you deliver news papers which is done differently these days. Not the answer.
I had 5 different bags delivered to my office and asked the ladies to select the bag they liked the most. All of them gravitated to the compartments within the smalled pockets. Quick key storage, the larger side bag. Quick access using the outside cell pocket and the biggest of all. They all selected the bag with the zippers on the top, not some huge flip over to get to where you store your items. Next time you are out and about. Look and see for yourself, most women have zippered tops and this is an evolution after years of use. Take it from the pros, our ladies know what works.
