Christian Bjorn has been a key figure on the Danish design scene since the end of the 1970s, and today he is credited having established industrial design as an independent profession in Denmark. Bjorn's Lighthouse series for Menu, Christian has wowed people worldwide since its launch. After a few months on the market, it was awarded two of the most well-known design prizes in the world: the Red Dot Award and the IF Industrial Design Award.

The Lighthouse Oil Lamp by Christian Bjorn is equipped with a newly developed oil burner that really lights up the night. 'This oil lamp doesn't burn with just a little flame, it burns like a fantastic bonfire!" says Bjorn. Furthermore, the Lighthouse Oil Lamps have a unique filling system that makes it possible to fill the oil from above, so there's no need to take the lamp apart.

Its flame is huge for several hours and still burning 24 hours after being lit, even though 24 hours after being lit it is only a very small flame it is serving the purpose of burning 24 hours long so it can be refueled and relit. This lamp is serving as our Christ Candle, our only lit outdoor Christmas decoration, in honor of the birth of Jesus Christ our Savior, the Light of the World. We love our Christ Candle. We pray in Jesus that all people, of all nations, will seek Jesus and find him. TeeSee from Bainbridge Island, WA	5.0 5/16/2010 Sleek design, dancing flame This lamp couldn't be recommended for camping enthusiasts - it's huge, and heavy, and requires lamp oil which is further ballast. But it's a beautiful patio light, produces a fine dancing flame that resists fairly stiff breezes, looks very smart in combination with others in different sizes, and is very simply cared for.
