Great product, but won't go over bumps

Cowboyjake from Grapevine, TX

I use this product to transport my wife from our car into doctor's offices and getting MRI's,
X-rays, going to labs for tests, etc.

I'm 76, my wife is not telling; she's had type 1
diabetes since her early teens. She falls frequently, 10 this year, and has fractured bones twice in the last 7 months. A wheelchair is a must.

The chair is lightweight, fits handily into the trunk of the car, is easy to unfold and fold and
is easy to push.

The only complaint I have is that even a fairly
small rise or dip in a sidewalk or pavement has abruptly stopped the chair and thrown my wife forward; fortunately, she didn't fall out.

A seat belt is available for use on the chair --
I highly recommend using it.

Now if I see a rise or dip ahead when I'm pushing the chair, I turn it around and back over it.

Another danger is door entrances with elevated metal thresholds; they will also abruptly stop the chair and throw the passenger forward. It's a little unhandy, but turn around and back over them.

Definitely Happy with My Purchase

A Concerned Caretaker from New Jersey

My husband was having difficulties with walking because of swelling in his legs due to complications from diabetes and also shortness of breath due to heart problems. Prior to purchasing this ultra light travel chair, we struggled with the simplest things. We always had to make special arrangements for a wheelchair whenever we traveled on the plane. Even though the staff at the airports were wonderful getting him on the plane and picking him up with a wheelchair, once we left the airport we were basically on our own and hoping that the resorts where we stayed would have a loaner wheelchair for a person of 250 lbs.

I drive a Toyota Corolla and was really happy to see that this transport chair was very lightweight and fit in the trunk of my car with no difficulties. The chair is very portable, easy to fold and easy to place in the trunk without me having to fold down the back seat of my car. This travel chair is also excellent for transporting him back and forth to his numerous doctor's appointments. I am definitely happy with my purchase.

Great Travel Chair

Kathleen Maynor from Homosassa, FL– Verified Buyer

I ordered this product because a family member was visiting us for a week, and she needs a wheelchair. I read about regular (big wheel) chairs and transport chairs. Since she does not have the upper body strength to turn the large wheels, I purchased this transport chair.

It worked out really well! This chair is very light and easy to take in and out of a car trunk or a van. We took it in and out several times, and the chair worked perfectly every time. We took it to tourist attractions and ran it on all kinds of surfaces, and it worked like a champ. I would highly recommend this chair.

Medline Super Light Freedom Transport Chair

Denny from Bowling Green, OH– Verified Buyer

We are very happy with the transport chair. It collapses and expands quickly. The Wayfair are very easy to attach or remove. It is small and light weight enough to easily collapse and carry in a compact car. It is easy to push and turns on a dime. I am able to take my mother to stores and maneuver through aisles. And the price is very reasonable. My mother, who uses it is very happy with it too.

Pretty red wheelchair

Eileen from Glenview, IL– Verified Buyer

This chair has it all. My mom was especially pleased that the chair has a handy, dandy, cup holder. I'm happy to open and close the chair with the greatest of ease, and enjoy having a back pocket to hold keys, wallet, food, etc. This is a very lightweight, very classy looking, wheelchair.

Great value and very convenient

Jersey Girl from Bradenton, FL

This is a great alternative to a full service wheelchair. It is very lightweight and folds for convenient storage in the trunk or back seat of the car. It folds quickly and the legs come on and off easily. The slanted handles make it very convenient for getting up close to a table for eating. This is our second one of these, as the seat wore out on the first one, which could have been replaced easily enough, but funding allowed for a new chair. They have made some improvements to the seat since then, so I expect it will last even longer. The addition of the back pockets for storage and the cup holder added bonuses. It's a few inches higher than the last one, making it more the same height as a standard chair. Great price for a great product.

Nice and light

Lynne from Bellevue, WA– Verified Buyer

This chair was ordered for my mom, who is quite small (under 5 feet about 100 lbs). The only problem we have had is that the front Wayfair are too far apart for her to sit comfortably so we only use one and she puts both feet on it. I will need to make some kind of extension to attach the foot rest so she can sit straighter in the chair. Other than that the chair is comfortable for her and light enough so that I can easily get it into the car (important since I have a bad back). Very happy to be able to take her on longer shopping trips this Christmas that would have been too much for her with her walker.

Great chair but be careful if it is for a small individual.

Love it!

WILLIAM from Houston, TX– Verified Buyer

I love the transfer chair. I now use it instead of my larger wheelchair for trips to the doctor office and other excursions outside of the house. My wife especially likes the lightweight since she is the one doing all the heavy lifting. Would highly recommend the chair for its transportability.

great except for Wayfair

db from pa– Verified Buyer

Love that this chair is lightweight and works in almost every situation for my aging father-in-law.
The ONLY "complaint" we have is that when we are traveling with the chair, the Wayfair must be removed and carried separately, OR tied down manually to the chair. There is no way to secure the 'foot pedals' so they do not "flop" around if they are not locked into "usage" position. In other words, when dad is sitting in the chair, the removable Wayfair are fine, because they can be locked into place. However, when we want to bring it on an airplane, or take it to a restaurant, we either have to take the foot pedals off during transport OR tie them down. Otherwise, once removed from the front locked position, they just flop around.
