We use the grinder for processing raw food for our 6 dogs. We were looking for a big inlet tube so we had to do as little cutting as possible to get the pieces in the head. Power and price were also considerations. I did quite a bit of research and decided on this unit. We couldn't be happier with the decision. We grind bone in poultry pieces only, whole chickens, legs and backs and turkey necks. The grinder makes short work of these and we can feed pieces super fast. The unit is heavy and the handle on top is helpful for hoisting the unit to the counter. We find the grinder is easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning.
