I bought this slicer for my husband, who loves to cook, this Christmas and he LOVES it! Easy to use..easy to clean! He likes the idea of the tray that catches the meat as its sliced in a uniform slice. The old slicer we had took nearly an hour to clean (which I did ) and.......he (yes.....he!) cleaned in about 5 mins.! The slices are neat and clean....we used it with a pork roast tonight and it was perfect! We do more meat than bread, so Im anxious to try other meats as well. There are only my wife and I so we just grind our meat for what we need which is not much at all. This grinder does what we need does a good job. We have a Kitchen Aid but the plastic housing is cracked and the auger is loose and was not used much at all. This is all metal housing therefore I expect it should last much longer.
