if you do not have a green thumb - like me - then this item is ideal for you! Once you set it up there is little to worry about unless there is a long dry spell...then just add some water as a safety measure.

I have used these planter boxes for two years now. This is my second order as I wanted to add more. At first I was skeptical about its ability to keep plants alive on a deck and wondered how the material would wear with hot summers and cold winters. All I can say is they are the best invention ever!

Wonderful quality. I really like that, since they're not wood, they won't rot. The black color matches my patio table and chairs. Also, black won't show mold and mildew which we have a lot of in Oregon. I'm not sure how the self watering and small drain hole will work out when I plant them in the spring. It appears that I can probably drill additional drain holes, if needed. I would like to review this product a year from now when I have had more experience with the product.
