Mattresses

Okay, after much research, I decided on this mattress for its construction and price. I wanted an all-natural latex product for its hypo-allergenic properties, its long-lasting life and its comfort. That was the easy part; the hard part was choosing a product from a company of which I had never heard. Thanks to the few reviews here at Wayfair, I took a chance which I will never regret! I have a pillow-topped Tempur-pedic mattress which I sleep on; this latex mattress is for my daughter. My mattress was easily 3 times the cost; her mattress is noticably more comfortable. Nuff said. I did not notice any odors upon opening it. All the corners rose properly (in under 3 hours). The bamboo-ticking has the feel of fine linen. The mattress came in a little box rolled up and I was astonished at first because I didn't believe that a twin size mattress can fit into something that small. But once I opened unrolled it and cut the plastic from around it, instantly grew to size and it's very comfortable. I bought it for my daughters box bed and it fits perfectly, no problems with it and she sleeps through the night on it. I am pregnant so sleeping on our old spring mattress was getting painful. I wanted Latex because of the benefits over memory foam. I am very happy with this mattress. At first we were skeptical because the mattress comes rolled up and doesn't seem to be 10", but once you open it it fluffs out (I measured the next day to make sure) and is very comfortable. You need to give time for the smell to disappear but that is all the latex and foam mattresses. Just so you know the box spring does need to be put together so make sure you have a power drill! We bought these bunk beds for our 2 daughters and for the most part are very happy with the quality and look of the bed. My only issues are that there is only 3 wood slats holding up each mattress, and 1 already broke (it seems OK for the young kids, but not sure about when they get bigger or when a couple people are laying on the bed). Thankfully it came with a lot of extras and they are easy to replace, but I would have liked a little more support for the mattresses, especially for the full mattress on the bottom bunk. Also, the support railing on the top bunk is a little wobbly, but they are obviously not supposed to hang on it...
