In case you are unfamiliar with them, Wayfairs has over 200 online stores where you can find everything from stylish furniture, leather messenger bags, or great cookware!I recently had the opportunity to review another item from them an chose the Eclipse PerfectionRest Premium Memory Foam Topper. I have been using the mattress topper for 3 weeks now and am quite satisfied with my selection.A mattress salesman once told me that the two things nobody shouldever try to buy cheap are mattresses and shoes: "Because if you're notin the one, you'll be in the other." He wasn't kidding.Unfortunately, the reality of tight budgets and bad economic timesmeans that we are often forced to put up with a cheap mattress untilwe can scrape together the money or credit to replace it. In themeantime, however, there's no reason you shouldn't still be able toget a good night's sleep with an affordable Eclipse PerfectionRestPremium Memory Foam Topper. This mattress topper can greatly relievethe stress on pressure points caused by a sagging mattress and pokingsprings by adding an extra 2-4 inches of 2.5 lb. dense memory foampadding which molds to the shape of your body.When our order came in from Wayfair, installing the mattress topper tookonly the two minutes needed to unroll the topper and place it on topof our mattress. We did notice a "plasticy" chemical smell for thefirst while we used it but after adding an extra layer of sheets, itbecame a lot less noticeable. The results on sleeping were great. Wenow get a much more comfortable rest without waking up feeling likewe've been pummeled by our aging mattress.The mattress topper is made out of "green" soy based polyols andcomes with a 3-year limited manufacturer warranty on material andlabor. You need a moisture barrier between your baby's wetness (diaper accidents or spit up) and the mattress to prevent such things as mold and smell to name a couple. Don't think it's a pad like your adult mattress padding you buy in a mattress store. A baby's mattress should be as firm as possible while their time in the crib and they don't need a hotel type feel for bedding. This is to prevent such things as I have previously mentioned from happening to the mattress itself and extending the life of the mattress. It doesn't have elastic or straps to hold onto the mattress but putting sheets over it isn't a problem unless your all thumbs. It fits perfect on the LA Baby mini crib mattress and doesn't hang over or bunch up. I also use the LA Baby Compact Knitted sheets which I have also reviewed here."..."  Read more

This mattress pad has a waterproof polyester sheet covered with about 3/8 inch of fluffy polyester fill, a cotton cover and a lightweight polyester stretch skirt. The polyester sheet makes a slight rustle but it's hardly noticeable. The fluffy fill compresses thin when laying on but still gives a sense of comfort. The skirt along with the somewhat rough bottom of the polyester sheet contacting the mattress keeps the pad in position. It's not hot to sleep on. The package says the pad fits mattresses up to 18 inches. It shrank a little even with a cold wash and cool dry which might then be too small for 18 inches. The queen size almost fills a standard front loader washer or dryer because it stays bunched up and so doesn't wash or dry well. The pad's tag says to use large capacity commercial machines if the pad doesn't move freely in standard ones. This is a minus if frequent trips to a laundromat are necessary. I love this mattress pad. It is soooo comfortable. It makes my bed even better to sleep in. Because it is cotton it doesnt make you sweat which was what I was looking for. Will buy this product again but in a smaller size when my kids get their big kid beds. The only negative thing I have to say about this is that the material that goes around the mattress (the elastic) is very delicate and can break easily. The first time I went to wash it, I removed the mattress pad from the mattress and it tore. It hasnt torn anymore because you need to remove it from the bottom of the bed. You cant pull it from the top like a regular bed sheet."..."  Read more
