In case you are unfamiliar with them, Wayfairs has over 200 online stores where you can find everything from stylish furniture, leather messenger bags, or great cookware!I recently had the opportunity to review another item from them an chose the Eclipse PerfectionRest Premium Memory Foam Topper. I have been using the mattress topper for 3 weeks now and am quite satisfied with my selection.A mattress salesman once told me that the two things nobody shouldever try to buy cheap are mattresses and shoes: "Because if you're notin the one, you'll be in the other." He wasn't kidding.Unfortunately, the reality of tight budgets and bad economic timesmeans that we are often forced to put up with a cheap mattress untilwe can scrape together the money or credit to replace it. In themeantime, however, there's no reason you shouldn't still be able toget a good night's sleep with an affordable Eclipse PerfectionRestPremium Memory Foam Topper. This mattress topper can greatly relievethe stress on pressure points caused by a sagging mattress and pokingsprings by adding an extra 2-4 inches of 2.5 lb. dense memory foampadding which molds to the shape of your body.When our order came in from Wayfair, installing the mattress topper tookonly the two minutes needed to unroll the topper and place it on topof our mattress. We did notice a "plasticy" chemical smell for thefirst while we used it but after adding an extra layer of sheets, itbecame a lot less noticeable. The results on sleeping were great. Wenow get a much more comfortable rest without waking up feeling likewe've been pummeled by our aging mattress.The mattress topper is made out of "green" soy based polyols andcomes with a 3-year limited manufacturer warranty on material andlabor. My joints and muscles ached at night due to lupus and fibromyalgia. After much thought, my husband consented to the purchase of a bed with multiple layers of advanced technology foams although he prefers a firmer mattress. Once our new bed arrived, however, it was difficult to get used to because of being too squishy and hot. I couldnt seem to get that good nights sleep that I so desperately needed and so began my search for a more suitable mattress pad than the one we already had. After looking at many different ones in local stores, I placed an order online for the Serta Perfect Day Outlast Mattress Pad and it came within a few short days. My husband and I immediately noticed a remarkable difference that it made to our new bed.The pad fit nice and tight and didnt slide off the mattress during the night along with providing a perfect sleeping area. It not only was very comfortable, but our once semi-squishy mattress became much firmer and now is a thing of the past. Hot flashes, due to the onset of menopause, were also greatly diminished during summertime use with the pad and cold winter nights in Colorado have been very comfortable. We attribute the mattress pad, with its extra deep pockets for our thick mattress, to be the perfect addition to our new bed! My husband and I now experience difficulty getting out of bed and we both cant wait to fall to sleep each night! I like this mattress pad so much that Im going get another for our teenage sons bed because he also gets too hot during the summer months. I purchased this mattress pad to go with the futon mattress and futon cover that I also purchased from Wayfair and which I'm very happy with. When I recently put the mattress pad/cover on for the first time the skirt split right along the gathered stitching. This mattress pad has a waterproof polyester sheet covered with about 3/8 inch of fluffy polyester fill, a cotton cover and a lightweight polyester stretch skirt. The polyester sheet makes a slight rustle but it's hardly noticeable. The fluffy fill compresses thin when laying on but still gives a sense of comfort. The skirt along with the somewhat rough bottom of the polyester sheet contacting the mattress keeps the pad in position. It's not hot to sleep on. The package says the pad fits mattresses up to 18 inches. It shrank a little even with a cold wash and cool dry which might then be too small for 18 inches. The queen size almost fills a standard front loader washer or dryer because it stays bunched up and so doesn't wash or dry well. The pad's tag says to use large capacity commercial machines if the pad doesn't move freely in standard ones. This is a minus if frequent trips to a laundromat are necessary.
