"Hey Nancie, according to the manufacturer, it is not recommended to use liquid chalk. It's okay to use prang chalk, dustless high grade chalk or anything without foreign materials or calcium."

Great!!! This product is great, easy to hang on your wall. The blackboard itself actually has a breaking in period. Any eraser you buy will not work in until the blackboard gets a grey-ish ness to it, then it will function perfect!! Patience! just use it a lot in the beginning |
