Good value for the $ - Should be 4.5 star review from ocala, FL on 05/25/2014 – Verified Buyer
This Power Rack comes with the bench, grips for doing dips, two welded handles at the top of the rack for pull-ups. There are also optional accessories available for additional cost - we purchased the leg extension and stomach device which allows for a full body work-out head to toe.

First, the rack itself is all a higher gloss coated frame that is substantially smaller than most racks you will have encountered in the gym/elsewhere. However, the small footprint makes it perfect for home use where space is a premium. It's 7 ft tall plus you will need additional clearance when doing pushups etc. The bench is very solid yet easy to move. It has full incline/decline functionality plus the ability to slide forward/back.

That is not to say this is perfect since there are some limitations and irritations. The biggest limitation is the weight capacity itself - the description lists it as 600 pounds which is explained in more detail...300 lb max for human weight plus 300 lb lifting weight. The majority of home users probably will find this sufficient but if you need a solid 600 lb capacity...this is NOT it.

Next, the grips tend to shift and rattle - no big deal and easily cured with a touch of padding but be aware that the sound can be a bit jarring from time to time.

Otherwise, this is a solid built rack with a nice bench. Extremely versatile in a very small space. Much safer than typical bench - more versatile than a smith machine. Great balance between function, price, safety and style!

Good value for beginning weightlifters from Cincinnati, OH on 09/06/2013 – Verified Buyer
You're probably looking at this product because of how much cheaper it is than most other racks on the market. After seeing many positive reviews online I decided to go ahead and purchase it. This was my initial foray into weightlifting and for the most part has been a very good purchase.

Here's a breakdown of positives and negatives I've discovered so far.

+ Cheap
+ Easy to set up (takes a few hours and a few wrenches, I recommend having two people)
+- Can be broken down. This makes it easier to transport should you ever need to, but it's not as sturdy as a welded rack.
- The packaging could be better. Mine came with a few dents. Fortunately none of the critical pieces were damaged but I feel like that was mostly due to luck.
- The bar catches don't grab the uprights snugly. I'm hesitant to rest a very heavily loaded bar on them.
+ Offers grips for chest dips and pullups. If you're a beginner and weren't considering incorporating these exercises into your routine, reconsider.
+- Small footprint. This lets you fit it more easily into a space, but at the same time gives you a smaller area to work in.

If you're already a serious weightlifter I'd cosnsider other options. If you're a beginner who knows heshe is going to still be using this in 5 years and can afford something more expensive, I'd consider other options. But if you just want to test the waters or you simply can't afford a more expensive rack then this one will do just fine.

All in all, I do recommend this product. 1 star deducted for the packaging and the loose bar catches.

Great Price for starting a home gym. from JACKSONVILLE, FL on 12/19/2015 – Verified Buyer
I have been looking to buy the Marcy PM-3800 Power rack for quite some time. It was always either sold out or too expensive plus shipping, know from doing research. Wayfair had an awesome reasonable discounted price and also FREE shipping!! No gimmicks or hidden fees. No Tax too. How great is it to pay for an actual item and not all the other fees that get tacked on. Anyways, I am waiting for my delivery. Says it will come before Christmas...but if it doesn't...no worries. I got a great deal and am very happy with my purchase. I will post an actual product review once we receive it and my husband gets over being surprised. It's his Christmas present that he has no idea about.

Perfect size power rack for garage from Tega Cay, SC on 02/11/2015 – Verified Buyer
This power rack is a good size for working out at home. Doesn't take up a lot of space and gives you a bunch of different lifting options.

Pros: Easy to assemble. Put it together by myself in a few hours.
It's sturdy and you can trust that it will hold the weight on the safety pins.

Cons: It squeaks a little doing pull ups. But just turn up the radio and it's not really that big of an issue.

I would definitely recommend this product to others.

Good Value from Milford, CT on 07/14/2013 – Verified Buyer
The bench is a great value for the money. This was also the best price I could find along with free shipping. The item shipped very quickly and arrived in two boxes. The steel is a lighter gauge so it is not as solid as a gym cage. Most of the parts went towards building the bench and the cage is composed of relatively few parts. There was some surface imperfections possibly due to packaging and shipping scrapes but the item arrived in good enough condition. Assembly was a breeze for one person but obviously it would be simpler for two people to put it together. The cage is light enough for one person to move if needed. Overall this makes a great start for a home gym with the basics for lifting and with some room for expansion.

beyond expectations from dodge city, KS on 11/04/2014 – Verified Buyer
I asked lots of questions about this. I am 6' 260#. The chin up bars seem to be sturdy enough even for my biscuit butt. The dip bar handles are holding up well. It seems to be what I have been looking for that will fit in a small area. I was gonna order this from a_a_o_(fill in the blanks). Way cheaper through wayfair. Arrived in pristine unmarked condition. I am a very happy customer.

Pretty heavy duty and meets our needs from Brisbane, CA on 07/28/2015 – Verified Buyer
Pretty heavy duty for an at home gym equipment. It comes in many pieces and is big so it's helpful to have two people to put it together.
