Marcy Cage It is a nice unit.Took about a day to set up by myself.I took the bench and use it on the side of main unit .Its to hard to keep moving it in out for different exercises.I picked up a Pure bench with wheels i can move it in out easier. It works out good. |

Impressive for the price Once I put this together it looks great and has alot of exercise options. Takes about 8 hours to put together - the instructions were great - amazingly precise but I recommend you go buy a 16mm ratchet wrench - if you try and put this together with a regular wrench you will go crazy. The wrench only cost $10. On the downside - the liner bearings are noisier than the ones in the gym - I am going to try silicon grease to see if that reduces the noise. And it is very very large - almost fills my second bedroom. |

marcy md 9010 decent piece of equipment for the price Not bad for the price. Can't do military press with smith bar using back rest though. Will have to use a oly bar or buy a seperate stationary seated bench something like what power block sells to use the smith bar. Smith bar is great no problems sticking at all! Wish the j hooks were shorter or safety catches for the oly bar were longer. The service through wayfair was great. Best price with shipping. Package shipped quickly and in good condition |

WOW This machine is awesome. We bought it to replace a free weight equipment because I needed to add more weights to lift but I couldn't just because I did not have a spotter. With this machine I can add a lot more weight and feel safer. Its' been close to a month now since we have it and since then we have gooten rid of the bowflex as well. This machine takes care of all your exercise needs for every single part of your body. It has every attachment that you need to do all of your exercises and more. It took us about 10 hours to put together but I really enjoyed doing so (I like doing that kind of stuff). I do reccommend this machine 100% |

Great Machine but... Everything I read about this machine was true. It's the best out there for the price. The bench is a little too big to do a seated shoulder press using the smith bar, you cant get the seat back far enough to get under the bar. I had to turn the seat around, take the leg attachment off and then I was able to do the press. The instructions are a nightmare, I thought everyone was complaining but there is a lot of truth in what they say. You have to read them several times and look at the drawings to get a mental picture of what you have to do, especially the cables. I'm 6' tall and could not use the leg extension attachment, my feet kept hitting the ground, poor design. I was also missing a LOT of bolts and washers.[...] |

Marcy diamond elite I use this gym daily, so far it has proven to be very well built and thought out piece of equipment. It has quality welds and is very beefy. My only gripe is that none of the pieces are labeled for assembly & instructions could be worded more clearly. |

so far so good I've only had it together for a week but have hit every body part and it seems like it will hold up. I have been training pretty heavy since 2002 and consider myself pretty tough on fitness equipment and this set up seems to be up to the task. I have always trained at a gym in the past but in order to save money on memberships and gas, not have to deal with people and shorten the total time I started researching possible quality home gyms...so far i think my search was successful...very smooth on the cable work and smith machine. Seems like the more weight you add the smoother it gets. I have a degree in fitness and wellness so one of my main concers is correct physiological movement for safety and optimum effectiveness and I feel both were taken into consideration when designing this. . I would say that i have 4 complaints...1. there are no wheels on the bench so taking it out of the way to do squats and such is more difficult than it would be with wheels and a handle(will be getting a seperate bench and leaving the bench that came with this machine out to the side); 2. the pads for the leg extensions and leg curls are very short so your feet have to be too close together(need to be at least 2 inches longer on each side so will be getting a longer bar that fits for the wider pads); 3. the handles on the bicep curls do not rotate so the grip rotates on the bar and twists off the ends of the bar...have to push them back on after each set(super glue); 4. not enough room for a spotter to get in behind you when doing things like bench press and similar movements on the smith machine which is important. With all this said, as a whole i would reccomend to others...just take your time putting the thing together and have a friend to help in order to do it right. They say up to 8 hrs for assembly...it's no lie, should say "at least" 8 hrs. My reccomendation to the manufacturer is have experienced trainers or long time gym rats use it for a couple weeks in order to find the small issues that make a big difference. Hope this helps someone make an informed decision. Train hard, train smart and God Bless! |
