We purchased these map rails as an alternative to putting holes in the walls of my husbands new art studio to hang his paintings. They work great! We can slide the hangers along the top and hang the paintings wherever we like without having to hide holes from previously hung paintings. We simple run a heavy gauge fishing line from the hanger to the painting. They are strong enough to hold several paintings on one wall. The best part is that we were able to paint the cork runner the same color ad the walls and it blends so nicely without being an eyesore. I used the double sided sticky strips (comes with the bars) to mount the bars on my wall. It was easy and The bars stay in place!
