Solid wood, good construction, exactly as described. Drawer has ample space. Other review mentioned it's lighter than the picture. It's not really lighter, it's just that the grain shows more than in the picture. Very simple to assemble.

My little kitchen desk is just as it was described, easy to assemble, and made with quality materials (real wood and metal-no plastic!). It reminds me of something that my dad or grandfather would make.

I bought this small secretary desk to use as a work station for centralizing bill-paying and other commitments, and managing my daily schedule. It's perfect for that, and it fits in a small corner and out of the way. The hinges that operate the writing surface are pretty amazing; rugged and reliable, yet unobtrusive, and they easily hold the weight of books and resting elbows when I'm writing out checks, etc. In fact, I found my desk will support over 30 lbs. in the center of the writing surface with no strain on the hinges and no tipping of the desk. It may hold more weight; I didn't test the limits. The inside area is large enough to keep two stacks of 8" x 10" folders plus calculator, stapler, calendar, reading glasses, etc. neatly available for use. There is a shelf that holds even more stuff. The drawer is another large storage area. The desk is constructed of solid hardwood, no veneers, with a very good fit and finish. It arrived very well packaged and protected, with excellent assembly instructions. I found it very easy to assemble the four legs and two stringers and drawer knobs. I am completely satisfied with the functionality, quality and price of this desk.

I put it together myself. It fit right into the right place. It is sturdy, but quaint, and I love it. My only regret is that I probably should have gotten the black instead of the oak, but thats hindsight on my part. The product is great.

Easy assembly, finish is lighter than pictured with more grain to the wood

I was looking for a piece of furntiture for my mom bedroom to hold her checkbooks and other paperwork. This size was perfect for the location.

I love this little desk that fits perfectly in an otherwise odd and unused space in my bedroom. It is now my entire home office! Wood quality quite nice. Assembly relatively easy - did myself in 30 minutes - though one hole was a few millimeters off and it took a little work to last piece squeezed in. Draw slide not 100% perfect; I think we need to sand one runner. But nothing that can't be fixed. Great value. One note: Desk does tip easily with pressure on drop-down leaf since it is so little, so if kids are a concern, probably needs one of those wall anchors.

I needed a small desk for an in-home office. This desk is just the right size, has a beautiful finish, and is very easy to put together. I couldn't be happier with the product!
