This product is not an orthopedic quality! I have purchased numerous orthopedic beds for my 13 year old dog who has had 3 knee surgeries and I thought I'd try this one that I found online. The thin, flimsy padding was nothing close to the orthopedic pads in the beds I've had in the past. It definitely would not hold up long with any dog, nor provide comfort from day one, and I would not suggest it for any dog with hip or knee issues. I was very disappointed, but the customer service rep was very understanding and I did appreciate that. |

Good Value We have a growing mixed breed dog and he seems to love the bed. It's lightweight and easy to move around. However, if you have a dog prone to chewing, this bed doesn't seem like it would hold up for very long. Luckily, ours is more into his toys than chewing up his bed so we've had good luck with it. |

foam glue coming apart after 1 month I have a 7 year old Labrador, and chose this oval, "nest"-style bed because he likes to have a cozy place to curl up and feel safe. We had a similar style bed when we lived in Canada, but I was unable to find one in the US near where we live, so chose to go online. I should have known that the relatively low price on this bed would be indicative of quality. The foam was not superthick "orthopedic grade" as advertised, just regular one-inch foam and is packing down (getting less soft) very quickly. I took the cover off to wash it last week for the first time - the easy-to-remove-and-wash cover was a selling point - they didn't mention it was likely to shrink and not fit back on properly (I washed it in cold water). Also, the very first time I removed the cover, the foam (which was not shaped but simply several pieces glued together) began to come unglued. So what I'm finding is it wasn't a wise purchase - I will have to replace it within 6 months of purchase. My dog is very gentle - no unusual wear-and-tear here. The product is simply disappointing. |
