catching the cat by the tail [...] its big, but don't let the size fool you, I did manage to put it together Myself, it went together very easily on my part, however the one thing I've noticed is that the sisal rope is either not tied tight enough or its designed that way... I've screwed the legs down and up as tight as I can and it still moves... the cat however LOVES IT! I was practically holding her by the tail trying to keep her off it till it was complete! all in all I think its a great product, its huge btw, My cat can now stretch and touch the roof lol |

Good news and bad news Instructions confusing. Parts not labeled well. Must tighten posts several turns past snug to make unit stable. Strong arms necessary. Arrived with strong paint smell. Cat avoided it. After airing and catnip application it is somewhat better. Cat can't jump between levels without getting off the unit. I had to put a bookcase next to it for cat to reach upper levels. Expect things will improve. It is very nice looking, takes up very little floor space for its size, and hopefully will become more useful as the smell wears off. I might recommend a different model where the shelves allow the cat to move between levels. |
