From the beginning as a small furniture company in Ontario, Canada, Magnussen has evolved into a full line furniture resource with offices in Ontario, Canada; High Point, NC; Riverside, CA; and, the Far East. Their business is creating furniture designs of exceptional style, value and beauty. Magnussen produces these designs in partnership with their manufacturing partners around the world that meet exacting standards for superior quality at the best possible value.
The foundation of Magnussen's success is built on the company's core values of trust, honesty, and respect. Each of my teammates at Magnussen Home participates in the success of the company and is eager to ensure that their furniture products enrich the homes of customers with their exceptional style and workmanship.
An unrivaled value in home furnishings -- this is the commitment that they renew everyday to consumers who invite Magnussen Home into their lives. Magnussen sources their designs from only the finest home furnishings manufacturers, many in the Far East and Central America.
Even as the company has grown larger, the principles of a family-run business -- trust, honesty and respect -- continue to be its foundation. The company was founded in 1931 by Ingwer Magnussen. A cabinetmaker by trade and a craftsman and businessman by heart, Ingwer took the bold initiative to start his own business in Kitchener, Ontario, when he was unable to find work during the 1930s depression. He beautifully and intricately carved show wood for sofa frames for upholstery manufacturers and his business grew into a good-sized company serving Canada.
Richard Magnussen, Ingwer's son, joined the company in 1970 at the age of 20. Richard steered the company's focus on expansion and growth, enabling Magnussen Furniture to become Canada's largest supplier of occasional tables. In 1986, Richard founded Presidential Furniture, a division of Magnussen Furniture, to serve the U.S. market. In 1986, the company began trading as Magnussen-Presidential Furniture, which became one of the most progressive occasional furniture suppliers in North America. With an eye to detail and an understanding of the worth of exclusive designs, Richard built relationships with international manufacturers from around the world and tapped a huge growth opportunity. Magnussen-Presidential Furniture began importing from the Orient a decade before fashion trends and design styles in the furniture business made it in vogue to do so.
In 2002, Magnussen-Presidential Furniture became Magnussen Home. The addition of "Home" reflects what Magnussen offers as a company -- fine furniture, designed and created by a family of craftsmen from around the world, to fill the most important rooms in your home.
Details are important... even down to where you will set a water glass. They have a passion for details. It stems from how Magnussen runs their company, grows into the conveniences they design into their furniture, and blooms into the relationships built with their valued dealers.
Magnussen designs every piece of furniture that carries the Magnussen Home name. They understand that finishing touches like intricately carved woodwork or ironwork do more than complete the look of a piece of furniture; they set the tone of your home. Magnussen furniture does more than fill a home. It expresses who we are.
An unwavering commitment to ensuring your satisfaction is their most important difference.
coffee table review
Chris from Erie, PA – Verified Buyer
We love the design and the veneer is good quality walnut. We were surprised that the coffee table was not damaged in transit because of the poor packaging. Three days later we got the matching end table and it was packaged very well. There was a scratch in the wood under the glass which we fixed with some filler and shoe polish. Otherwise, it was made well and the interesting design is a focal point in our living room.

I just received this coffee table and it's beautiful!!! The wood is a great quality and looks beautiful! Not pressed wood or anything like that. It was easy to assemble. The top had a visible scratch and Wayfair said they will ship me a replacement without any questions asked, so it's no big deal. I would recommend this for anyone!!!
Beautiful, Solid and Unique

It takes me a while to pick out furniture pieces that will make me happy. This one jumped out at me and after looking a little bit further into the specifications I chose this one. The table is very well built. Every piece has a nice weight to it. Shipping was fast and the table was not dinged, scratched in anyway.Great shipping protection. The setup is quick.
Love this table

I bought two sofas and needed a unique coffee table to go with the sofas. I have this item in my formal living room, and it looks great!! I get a lot of compliments on the table. The wood color matches the wood on the sofas. The glass top is beautiful. Very easy to assemble.
Lightweight and easy to put together
Victoria from Cary, NC – Verified Buyer
I am very pleased with this table. The design is unique and the coloring is very nice. It came packaged very well and was easy to put together. It's heavy enough to be durable and well constructed but is light enough to be moved by one person if it needs to be.
Stylish & sturdy
Suzanne from Ridgefield, CT – Verified Buyer
Really nice for the price. Love the curved legs as they are different and don't compete with all the perpendicular chair legs of the seating around it. Easy to put together. Just the right size for in front of a love seat.

Beautiful coffee tableBec

Beautiful coffee. I love this table, goes perfect with our contemporary sofa. It would also go great with a tradition setting as well. I would give it five star accept for the glass wich is very thin. We are looking into changing out the glass if it is not to exspensive, We love it that much.
Elegant coffee table.

Beautiful table, well made and well priced. However it is quite large and heavier looking than I expected. But I am still very happy.
