From the beginning as a small furniture company in Ontario, Canada, Magnussen has evolved into a full line furniture resource with offices in Ontario, Canada; High Point, NC; Riverside, CA; and, the Far East. Their business is creating furniture designs of exceptional style, value and beauty. Magnussen produces these designs in partnership with their manufacturing partners around the world that meet exacting standards for superior quality at the best possible value.
The foundation of Magnussen's success is built on the company's core values of trust, honesty, and respect. Each of my teammates at Magnussen Home participates in the success of the company and is eager to ensure that their furniture products enrich the homes of customers with their exceptional style and workmanship.
An unrivaled value in home furnishings -- this is the commitment that they renew everyday to consumers who invite Magnussen Home into their lives. Magnussen sources their designs from only the finest home furnishings manufacturers, many in the Far East and Central America.
Even as the company has grown larger, the principles of a family-run business -- trust, honesty and respect -- continue to be its foundation. The company was founded in 1931 by Ingwer Magnussen. A cabinetmaker by trade and a craftsman and businessman by heart, Ingwer took the bold initiative to start his own business in Kitchener, Ontario, when he was unable to find work during the 1930s depression. He beautifully and intricately carved show wood for sofa frames for upholstery manufacturers and his business grew into a good-sized company serving Canada.
Richard Magnussen, Ingwer's son, joined the company in 1970 at the age of 20. Richard steered the company's focus on expansion and growth, enabling Magnussen Furniture to become Canada's largest supplier of occasional tables. In 1986, Richard founded Presidential Furniture, a division of Magnussen Furniture, to serve the U.S. market. In 1986, the company began trading as Magnussen-Presidential Furniture, which became one of the most progressive occasional furniture suppliers in North America. With an eye to detail and an understanding of the worth of exclusive designs, Richard built relationships with international manufacturers from around the world and tapped a huge growth opportunity. Magnussen-Presidential Furniture began importing from the Orient a decade before fashion trends and design styles in the furniture business made it in vogue to do so.
In 2002, Magnussen-Presidential Furniture became Magnussen Home. The addition of "Home" reflects what Magnussen offers as a company -- fine furniture, designed and created by a family of craftsmen from around the world, to fill the most important rooms in your home.
Details are important... even down to where you will set a water glass. They have a passion for details. It stems from how Magnussen runs their company, grows into the conveniences they design into their furniture, and blooms into the relationships built with their valued dealers.
Magnussen designs every piece of furniture that carries the Magnussen Home name. They understand that finishing touches like intricately carved woodwork or ironwork do more than complete the look of a piece of furniture; they set the tone of your home. Magnussen furniture does more than fill a home. It expresses who we are.
An unwavering commitment to ensuring your satisfaction is their most important difference.

Elegant table, other than a small scratch, it is great especially with a corner sectional.

My issue is with having been sent a previously used and abused table. It was smashed and thrown back into the box. Loose hardware within the box. Horrible quality control, is tables are returned they should NOT be re-sold, esp. not in smashed pieces with loose hardware within. What a pain it was to pack it back up and try to tape up that soft and destroyed box !!!
Yvonne Fossen from North Dakota
This is so beautiful. Wasn't sure we would like the lift up table but we love that as well. Amazing
Very nice table

COLOR DOES NOT MATCH
OK from BROOKLYN, NY
I HAVE PURCHASED THE PIESHAPE COFFEE TABLE AND THE RECTANGULAR TABLE TO MAKE IT A SET, HOWEVER, THE COLOR DOES NOT MATCH. THE COLOR OF THE COFFEE TABLE IS MEDIUM BROWN WHILE THE RECTANGULAR TABLE IS DARK BROWN. I REALIZED IT AFTER IT WAS SET UP AND WOULD BE A PAIN TO RETURN IT. OTHER THAN THE COLOR PROBLEM, THE TABLES ARE PERFECT!
Exactly what I ordered!

The only thing is the vertical shelves, they do not work too well. We did without them as they were hard to place in correct slot. The directions could be a little more explicit also.
This table fits out lifestyle perfectly!
BABS from Lago Vista, TX
We love the table, great for eating at and using laptops while we watch TV, only complaint in putting it together was we could not get the divider slates in on the bottom level so gave up and put them in the closet. Damaged table slightly trying but can cover up with black/brown crayon. Table looks great with those pieces.
Miller Family from Sacramento, CA
We love it! It was easy to assemble and is VERY sturdy. Plus it was much less than any place else we looked.
perfect cofee table
Annie from Selah, wa
perfect coffee table for sectional and chaise couches! It fits right in the 90 degree angle, and looks great. Need it closer, no need to pull it forward just raise the top.(although I love the feature of legs and wheels, so it is easy to move) Perfect for snacks, cards, laptop etc.
