From the beginning as a small furniture company in Ontario, Canada, Magnussen has evolved into a full line furniture resource with offices in Ontario, Canada; High Point, NC; Riverside, CA; and, the Far East. Their business is creating furniture designs of exceptional style, value and beauty. Magnussen produces these designs in partnership with their manufacturing partners around the world that meet exacting standards for superior quality at the best possible value.
The foundation of Magnussen's success is built on the company's core values of trust, honesty, and respect. Each of my teammates at Magnussen Home participates in the success of the company and is eager to ensure that their furniture products enrich the homes of customers with their exceptional style and workmanship.
An unrivaled value in home furnishings -- this is the commitment that they renew everyday to consumers who invite Magnussen Home into their lives. Magnussen sources their designs from only the finest home furnishings manufacturers, many in the Far East and Central America.
Even as the company has grown larger, the principles of a family-run business -- trust, honesty and respect -- continue to be its foundation. The company was founded in 1931 by Ingwer Magnussen. A cabinetmaker by trade and a craftsman and businessman by heart, Ingwer took the bold initiative to start his own business in Kitchener, Ontario, when he was unable to find work during the 1930s depression. He beautifully and intricately carved show wood for sofa frames for upholstery manufacturers and his business grew into a good-sized company serving Canada.
Richard Magnussen, Ingwer's son, joined the company in 1970 at the age of 20. Richard steered the company's focus on expansion and growth, enabling Magnussen Furniture to become Canada's largest supplier of occasional tables. In 1986, Richard founded Presidential Furniture, a division of Magnussen Furniture, to serve the U.S. market. In 1986, the company began trading as Magnussen-Presidential Furniture, which became one of the most progressive occasional furniture suppliers in North America. With an eye to detail and an understanding of the worth of exclusive designs, Richard built relationships with international manufacturers from around the world and tapped a huge growth opportunity. Magnussen-Presidential Furniture began importing from the Orient a decade before fashion trends and design styles in the furniture business made it in vogue to do so.
In 2002, Magnussen-Presidential Furniture became Magnussen Home. The addition of "Home" reflects what Magnussen offers as a company -- fine furniture, designed and created by a family of craftsmen from around the world, to fill the most important rooms in your home.
Details are important... even down to where you will set a water glass. They have a passion for details. It stems from how Magnussen runs their company, grows into the conveniences they design into their furniture, and blooms into the relationships built with their valued dealers.
Magnussen designs every piece of furniture that carries the Magnussen Home name. They understand that finishing touches like intricately carved woodwork or ironwork do more than complete the look of a piece of furniture; they set the tone of your home. Magnussen furniture does more than fill a home. It expresses who we are.
An unwavering commitment to ensuring your satisfaction is their most important difference.

A Very Attractive Table
Debra from Wyoming, MI– Verified Buyer
I had bought this table from JCPenneys a year and a half ago. When it arrived, I liked it even more than I thought I would. The unsusual cut and grace of this table's legs really set it apart. I am not a matchy-matchy person, but I made an exception for this table and ordered another. It was no longer carried by JCP, so I got it at Wayfair, even tho I'd have to assemble it, which was no problem. I not only loved the design of the table, but the cinnamon color is very warm and appealing. I am really careful about the table top. I may coat them in the future or add a glass top, whatever looks better. It's not cheap at all, I may just be a little too protective. I would recommend this table for its quality and style. Still loving it as much as ever.

We purchased a couple of these end tables along with the matching coffee table and they are just beautiful. There was a little assembly required but my husband said it was very easy. From the picture I expected the tables to be a little more brown. They're more of a reddish cherry finish, but that's actually okay.

I recently downsized my household, in doing that, my square footage also went down, I needed smaller

We ordered these end tables on Friday and had them on Saturday! Unbelievable! Great customer service from Wayfair. We loved these tables. They arrived safely and were packed well. They are high end tables. The quality rivaled any high end furniture store we have shopped in. The tables are a little redder (cherrymahogany) which worked even better for us. Keep that in mind when you order but don't worry about the quality. They are exquisite!
Great End Table

Bought 2 of these tables for a living room remodel, They were really easy to assemble and unless you looked underneath these tables you would never know that they required assembly. Very rich looking. Color was a little darker than I expected.

Hard to believe a table of this quality cost so little. Very graceful and solid and the color goes beautifully next to my blue damask sofa. Also bought the matching coffee table. Very easy assembly.
Good looking table

We ordered two of these for our family room. They are perfect and look like high-end tables. Great value!

Excellent quality for the price. I'm using it as a nightstand in my guest bedroom because I needed something to sit in a corner where a square nightstand looked too crowded.
