I Like The Measurement On The Mat

I used my mat, for the first time, about a week ago. I was making whole wheat bread. This mat provides a surface. My bread dough stuck to this mat and I had to keep trying to unstick it. Also, the mat slide all over the place as I kneaded the dough. I had wiped the surface underneath the mat and let it dry, before place the Magic Dough mat down. I do like the measurement and conversions listed on the mat; that is a big plus. To keep it from sliding around, I will place a sugar container on one end and my flour container on the other end. I will keep using it.

I absolutely love my pastry mat. I used it to make pierogi for Easter...it was so easy to get the dough rolled and nothing stuck. Didn't have to use as much flour as when rolling the dough on the counter. Excellent product!

I recently made a pie from scratch using this template/mat and found it to be very, very helpful. I used it to make a pizza, too. Dough sticks to the mat enough to roll it out, but not so much that it can't be removed neatly. A must for pie bakers.

Great little mat for the countertop. Stays in place, nice and flat. Very easy to wipe clean. The measurements are very handy, no more ruler or measuring tapes needed in my kitchen. I recently made homemade pasta and it was the perfect surface for mixing and kneading the dough. Conversion tables are very handy as well, it's like having a pages of cookbook reference charts right in front of you without having to flip through pages. Handy storage tube as well, just roll it up and into the cupboard it goes.

I've never use a pastry mat before like this. It truly is everything is says it is. Once it is rolled out flat, it sticks to the surface and does not slide. No need for flour on most pastries, but I did use a small amount for my pie crust for extra assurance. Ths biggest downfall is rolling it up and inserting it back into the tube for storage. THe long bulky tube is awkward to store, but I worked it out because I love it so much.
Perfect for the pies.
