Great playset with lots of activities

This may be lengthy and I apologize but I hope it will be useful. First and foremost, this set took me 3 days to assemble, mostly by myself. My 67 year old father helped on the first day and couldn't help the rest of the time due to prior arrangements. The first day we worked from 930-130, due to myself having an appointment. The next 2 days I worked from around 930 or 10 until about 8 the first night and 6 the second, stopping only for lunch and dinner. I used to work construction so I'm fairly skilled. The night before you assemble the playset, remove all the hardware, buy some cheap zip loc bags and organize. All the her bolts and lag screws are packaged in one lump some in two large bags. The only thing packaged in there own bags were lock washers, washers and wood screws. I marked each bag by size. Note there are 1/4" and 5/16", which the 5/16 aren't used until the swing beam is mounted. They recommend you use a ratchet set, my best advice is to use a socket that'll fit into your drill, most drill bit sets have them included, you'll need a larger size for the 5/16. If you use a ratchet set, it'll take you even longer. The next thing I can recommend, which I didn't do, is lay out all the wood in matching numbers, so have one piece and some have 18. The reason behind this is that the instructions will say take piece AO, and place it here. Note, the wood is stamped with three numbers. There is a page at the beginning of the instructions that say AO is 855, that's an example. Unfortunately you must cross reference that sheet for every piece of wood. I removed that page and kept it right beside the instructions so I could see which piece to get. When assembly begins you will use a piece called a weld nut for each hex bolt. The hex bolt, lock washer and washer go in one side and the weld nut goes in the other side. Make sure you hand start each hex bolt. If not you will strip out the weld nut. I had one I couldn't start no matter how hard I tried and eventually gave it the go with the impact drill, it stripped out the weld nut. Have no fear, they pack a lot of extra hardware in case of loss or damage, which they explain at the start of the instructions. We also noticed it says sand box included in the description, which one would think is in the bottom of the playset. The instructions even refer to securing the sand box boards. Well later on you screw fast floor boards, so there isn't really a sand box. We are left purchasing a sand box now. However, there is a rockwall, chalkboard, rope ladder, tic-tac-toe, ladder, slide, steering wheel, periscope, telescope, phone, glider, trapeze bar, and one sling swing. We have a 3 and 1 year old so we opted to leave the trapeze bar off and put a baby swing on for the one year old which we had purchased a couple years ago. The final step is to secure the ladder, rope ladder, and two swing beams to stakes, which are included. There is one extra stake. These are made from pressure treated lumber. I drove the first in by the one swing beam and secured it. I started to drive in the second by the other swing beam and split into a million pieces. So I used the extra, on the other side and secured it. I attempted by the the ladder and that one split as well. After that, I opted not to move on. The ladder and rope ladder don't move once fastened to the playset. I liked having the two swing beam arms secured to the ground because I noticed they will lift rather easily, and that was without having kids swinging. Once secured to those stakes, they don't move at all. My overall opinion of this set is very good. Like I said, there are tons of activities to do for the kids. The instructions are clear and precise. Once everything is tied together the set is extremely durable and sturdy. I would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend or family member, just be sure to have plenty of time and/or friends to make things go quicker. I used an entire week of vacation prepping an area, putting up a border and assembling the playset. I worked harder on vacation than I do at work, but it was well worth it to see how excited the kids were for their very own "playground." Pros: A lot of activities for the kids based on the price. Durable and sturdy. Clear and easy to follow instructions. Cons: No sand box. Lengthy assembly time.
Going to be great.

The materials and instructions for this playset are numerous but the kids have LOVED the result. We had some problems with shipping (Apparently- Wayfair took care of things before they even became problems we knew about) and one of the beams had a crack along the length of it but the manufacturer is currently working with us to resolve this so we can finally hang up the swings. Took my husband and I two full days (with 'help' from the kids) to assemble. Looks like it will be a great addition to our back yard Pros: Clear instructions. Sturdy. Looks like fun Cons: LENGHTY assembly time.
Value for your money
