Luggage Sets

I have had the El-Dorito 3 piece set and am very happy with it. I bought these 3 piece sets for my two college kids. The 22" is a great carry on or weekender and the other two are great for longer trips. These have the Better Zippers full PVC internal sides for support, support band around. The inside features many pockets and a hanger and Val-Pack like area in all cases, along with a clear plastic TSA bag. The straps and clips are invaluable in carrying the three bags at once and work great. We already used these to move our son to Mi. Took 3 sets of nine bags checking 6 and on the way back put the unused suit cases inside the larger ones to check 2 for less airline costs. One set stayed with my son. BEST VALUE AND FEATURES. We anticipate using this set in May so I can't attest to its quality after use but my initial opinion is good. The set is a bit difficult to nest because of the more rigid frame but it works with some effort and that may loosen up after repeat use. I love that this set came with all four pieces as true luggage on wheels, not duffle bags or useless toiletry bags. The smallest bag has already been claimed by my 5 year old son as his suitcase because it's the perfect size for a youngster to pull and just large enough for their stuff. The smaller two suitcases would be excellent carry-ons. The largest suitcase is ideal for a family of four traveling - roomy and yet lightweight to pull. This set was the highest rated and best price for four complete cases and I'm quite pleased with the initial quality. We just bought the 4WD set for a month long trip to Turkey. We had pullman-type luggage forever but wanted a spinner set. We did hours of research and read every review for quality and durability. We happened upon Heys and all we can say is outstanding! It held up very well for our trip, which involved several flights, a bus trip from Izmir to Bodrum, and hotel handling. There were also numerous zipping and unzipping of each piece (packing and repacking at each of the four cities that we visited). I was concerned a little about some zipper and durability issues from some of the reviews I read on this site and other sites. No problems with zippers (we had to get used to the hardside since all of our previous luggage was softside-so a little different-zip and unzip a little slower and make sure the top and bottom halves are lined up). The zipper tab on one of the carry-ons did fall off, which I can see from the design. A pair of pliers to tighten the tab to the zipper-head will avoid any problems. There are some scratches, that are normal for hardsides as I understand it. We travel a lot, most internationally for work and holiday and I would recommend this luggage to anyone. Easy to move everywhere (airport, city streets, crowds, you name it); greater spinners (easier to pull behind on heavy carpet); handles feel weak but are not-they "give" which is normal (another issue based on previous reviews but I think the reviewers where expecting something super ridged); very lightweight; incredible capacity (and we never used the expansion zipper in spite of being loaded down with gifts and souvenirs); very easy to spot among other luggage (and we had a couple of experiences with this-anyone who travels internationally will know what a luggage belt looks like!); carry-ons fit easily in overheads; and very stylish (we received several comments about "how cool" our luggage was). FOR THE PRICE, NOTHING COMES CLOSE. If want to pay more money for a heavy, stiff, hardside with spinners look at the other brandnames you've heard before (Samsonite, etc.). Just a note: We used only the 21" and 26" cases. Since, we do a lot of international travel we plan to sell the two 30" because they're huge! (but airline ok if not overpacked). We did not use the 30" cases but I bet they would be great for family, long holidays, but I cannot imagine having that much stuff since the 21" and 26" hold a lot. This is the 3rd set of luggage in 3 years, I have purchased for my son who travels in his job overseas and I am hoping he will get more then a year out of the hard side luggage. He has used it once so far and is happy with the results. I watched the ratings of this set of luggage and was happy with the comments so I am hoping we also have this good luck with the hard side luggage from Coleman.
