Beautiful Cups, but NOT MICROWAVEABLE! from Napa, CA on 05/30/2015 – Verified Buyer
These are the most elegant looking cups for a special dinner, but not appropriate for modern everyday use. They're fine for cold drinks and first pour tea and coffee, but the second your place it in the microwave for a reheat, the metallic foil sparks. Pros: Aesthetically beautiful Cons: Metallic paint will spark violently in the microwave

Great for just-made soups, not so much if reheating. from Napa, CA on 05/30/2015 – Verified Buyer
These soupbowls are beautiful and to be used for the occasional dinner party. Don't expect to use them to reheat foods in the microwave as they immediately spark. Pros: Beautiful metallic rim detail Cons: NOT MICROWAVEABLE

Not microwaveable! from Napa, CA on 05/30/2015 – Verified Buyer
Perfect for an elegant garden party ... in the 1920's. However, if you like your liquids hot and prefer to reheat it using modern conveniences such as the microwave, this is not the line for you. Pros: Beautiful finish Cons: Sparks in microwave

Love the Contemporary Design from Des Moines, IA on 07/22/2012 – Verified Buyer– Top 500 Reviewer
Love the square design, and bought the bowls to match. Goes well with my Asian modern decor. Well-packaged and undamaged.
