I use this pot for almost everything.On the fire,in the oven and stove top cooking.Pot roast,soup,browning and everything else.It cleans well.Some might think its heavy but I think its an opportunity to work out.Then after the workout it's time to eat!! Mom of two boys from SE Pennsylvania	5.0 12/27/2010 Lodge is the best I can't believe I haven't bought a Lodge dutch oven before this. We've used them on Boy Scout camping trips for years and just never thought to buy one for ourselves. Once I read about how it's preseasoned, I had to get one. I made chili in it recently and it was the best I've ever made. I was worried about using it on a smooth-top stove but it's not a problem as long as you're careful with it. Was this helpful?
