Double Check Sizes Needed For Your Needs

My mother in law has a corner nook set similar to this one, and I fell in love with the design almost since I've laid eyes on it. When I saw this entire set going for so cheap (it's a manufacturer price, not the websites- many other sites offer this price, as well,) I had to get it, so I did. When it arrived, it was a lot smaller than I had envisioned it in my head (I can't fit four full-sized placements in their respective places), so that was a bit of a disappointment, but the measurements are right there on the page, so that's completely a "my bad" on my end. It can still fit my son, husband, and I, comfortably, though, although my son tends to sit on the opposing bench. The bench itself is pretty sturdy, up until its placed on carpet, and so you don't want to "wobble" it too much, or it may loosen its joints. The table has a soft wood top, so it imprints pretty easily if you're not careful. I had hoped for my son to do homework on the table, but it is so sensitive that we had to buy him his own desk to work with. The nook-bench storage actually has decent amounts of space. You're not going to store tons of food in there, but we can fit several boxes of pasta and rice in the benches without many problems. I did find, one morning, that the smaller storage bench was buckling a little under the weight of the rice (2 bags of 2lb rice), which disappointed me, but I rearranged the rice and there had been no problems since. Perhaps the manufacturer would be better off using "shelving guides" along the interior walls of the storage units, so the thin, pliable wood has less of an aptitude for buckling. With all the negatives out of the way, my family uses this table for all of our family meals. The end without a placemat is generally used for where the food is served. Because of the way we sit, one on each side, there is no bumping of elbows or running into each other. I do imagine, though, if we had more than one or two others in the way of company, the table would get cozy really quickly.

Nice product for the money. It would have been a knock out if it was a harder wood. But over all it is a good value, for a small to medium size area.It defines the space very well.I believe a familly of 4 would be fit comfortable in this nook. But If you are a bit of a plus size like me I would adjust down to 3 diners.Putting it together was simple enough.Give yourself about 2 hours and you should be fine. They give you all the hardware and its of good quality. But I did use some wood glue and substituted some screws with kreg screws for added surpport.I also put a underlying hardwood board under the lone bench for added strength, but that was my preference.Enjoy it

Very good looking piece, easy to assemble. Make sure you re-drill screw holes before to avoid cracks. Table needs a little more weight to it, if bumped, things will go flying. Benches do need cushions if sitting for extended time period. All solid wood construction, except for the bottom piece inside the benches' hide-away compartments (under bench compartment very useful to keep table top, etc). Very happy, though, we use it everyday at breakfast, lunch and dinner with our two children.
Excellent corner nook table set

I've wanted one of these types of table sets for years, and with my new house, finally had a place to put one. I had already purchased and assembled several pieces of furniture, including a wonderful china hutch from Wayfair, and while it took a little time and patience, I was able to put together the entire set by myself. I made one error in the assemblage, which required me to go back and redo a bit to have the parts match up right, but otherwise, no glitches. In fact, I was able to mentally flip the instructions so that the long piece went the other way so it would fit my kitchen better. I love having the extra storage and the table and bench will push close to the nook benches when not in use to create more space in my kitchen. Absolutely love it!
I havent really used it yet but

I keep getting requests in my inbox to submit a review and I don't want to direct Wayfair.com to my junk mail. Um... I set it up. That was ok, except 2 of the screws stripped (I went through 2 phillips screwdrivers assembling it). The pre-drilled holes could have been deeper to prevent this. Everything felt sturdy when I sat on it after assembly. I haven't assembled the bench yet. I have been storing boxes and stuff on it - still haven't put away all my moving stuff. I will rate the top (other reviewers say it dents easily) later because I can't see it right now. It's a great sized table for a family of 3. We needed something this small - no chairs to get in the way of our tight walking space. The storage space under the benches is very creative.

The breakfast nook looks nice, but as expected with the low price, it is slightly lower quality. The wood is very soft, and dentsscratches easily. The bottom of the storage benches is made of very thin particle board, not wood. It took my husband and myself about 2 hours to put the whole set together. I will say that the manufacturer was very easy to deal with. The top trim rail on the longer bench had been damaged and puttiedstained prior to the table being shipped to us. I called the (800) number and they replaced the part, no questions asked. I received it in less than one week. If you are looking for high quality, expect to pay much more. This set works nicely for us as we have no children living with us, just the occasional visit from the grandchildren.
Nice petite set

I was able to put this together for the most part by myself. It was when I was assembling the long bench that you need a helping hand. The table, bench, and small back bench were simple to put together. If you want to reverse the corner unit; you can but plan way ahead. Read the directions through and through and then reverse the short bench and long bench letters on the directions. Once it is together it will be more hassle than it's worth. It looks great in my small breakfast nook area off the kitchen. I am glad I bought it and the storage underneath is great for table linens and kitchen towels. I like the wood and the real stain of the wood. If you have a big area this will look small; if you have a medium to small square area it will look beautiful.
Just as I imagined, and that's good!

It looks great, and to me it's a unique conversation piece. We were trying to go with a mom and pop diner feel with this table, and I believe it has accomplished that. The material is light in weight so the table and benches are really easy to move around, which might be annoying to some. I suppose you could fix moving around by putting a rug underneath. I recommend assembling this with someone, as the larger pieces might become difficult to maneuver by yourself. It took me approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours to complete by myself, taking my time. Overall a great value :).
A warm welcome in our home and an amazing price.

My husband and I put all the pieces together within an hour or two, it was quite easy. The wood looks beautiful. Contrary to other review opinions, it is a solid feeling piece of furniture. The reason for 4 stars out of 5 is it would be nice if the table were a little longer. There is plenty of seating though the table feels cozy with only three of us sitting at it and you certainly wouldn't do a setting for more than 4 people. Pros: Beautiful, Sturdy, Easy to Assemble Cons: Small table size.

Fairly easy to assemble. For added strength I used wood glue while assembling. Just the right size for three. Love the added storage under seats, I call the storage "my office" so the kids know where to put papers and bills that normally end up on the kitchen table. Love it .
