Lighting Shades

This is a beautiful lamp shade. As nice as it looks on the lamp, you should see it when the lamp is lit. When the lamp is lit, the eyelet flowers really stand out. The ruffle at the bottom diffuses the light from the bulb, making a warm glow rather than a harsh white light. It makes a soft, feminine statement when placed on my bedroom dresser lamps. I bought this lamp shade to replace one that my husband had managed to ruin. When it arrived and I placed it on the lamp I was so pleased. 1) The flare of the shade made it easier for his large hand to reach up under it and switch on the lamp. 2) The shape of the shade closely resembled the large antique radio speaker on a nearby shelf. 3) The subtle leaf design on the shade closely resembled the leaves on the wallpaper. 4) The weight of the shade fabric gives it more stability and look of quality. 5) It is a great value for the money. The elasticized shade for my outdoor lamp deteriorated in the laundry and I couldn't find a replacement and didn't know the lamp manufacurer. The Wayfair rep contacted Patio Living Concepts which offered to custom craft a new one to fit my lamp frame's unusual measurements. The PLC rep even called me to verify measurements and included a note with the package (all within a week, btw) saying to let her know if there were any problems.
