They are white, which is what I wanted. It wasn't clear either by description or picture.I didn't use them for a ceiling fan but for a bathroom vanity replacement fitters/updated look. They look great [...]. The only downside (hence the four stars) was the size of the small opening--it was a bit small for my light fixture. I don't remember being able to find the size and was too impatient to wait to order (I'd put it off too long as it was). They look good though. I would highly recommend them to a friend.
