Bought the product for use in my condo garage space as it is better to store various recreational items, tools and so forth in a garage than in a car trunk. My rating is for the product not the manufacturers customer service. That is, overall, when all is said and done the deck box is a good product however, after assembly, which took one plus hours, the lid did not close correctly. Phoned the company in Utah and determined, rather quickly, that they had sent two front panels the rear panel, I was informed, has notches to accommodate a good feature, hinges that attach the lid, yet the notches are not readily seen in the assembly manual. The fact that this happened was not seen as a problem by the manufacturer apparently delaying a customer and having them do far more labor than would be necessary if they had done the requisite quality control should not be seen by that customer as even an inconvenience... Go figure. Several days later a rear panel arrived after disassembly and reassembly, which took longer than assembly, all went together well and my vehicle is going down the road quite a bit lighter.
Excellent Lifetime Storage box.

I read all the reviews, especially any that had a slight negative review. We had a little struggle realizing what the photo based instructions were saying to do. We are both over 60 and don't have the best eye sight. But after thinking logically and getting a magnifying glass for us -) we put it together. This box seems to be solidly built having used it for a couple weeks now. It went through a really high wind, pouring down rain storm without a drop getting into it. I bought this to hold cushions for 3 lounge chairs and large towels. There is room to spare. Found some dampness on the first few mornings but realized it was the cold, damp air from underneath it that made the box sweat on the inside. Glad we bought this one. This one is even sturdy enough to hold either of us with a top weight of 185 for sitting. I think we will have this for a long time. I would highly recommend.
Patio Deck Box

This is the second Lifetime Polyethylene deck box I have bought. The first one is four years old and still looks new. I keep beach towels , goggles , etc. in it for our pool and the rain doesn't get in the box. We just bought this second one to store pool equipment. It is very strong ,and has a place to put your hand on each end to move it . You can use it as an extra bench , and it isn't heavy to move. The top won't come crashing down on little fingers either . We store ours in the garage in the winter ,but I don't see why you couldn't leave it out if necessary. Easy to assemble also. I looked for a long time before buying ,and this one is the sturdiest I have found. .
Best deck box for the price.

This is a very attractive and well-made deck box. It hasn't rained yet so I don't know how water resistant it is but it looks like it will be fine. I was able to put it together by myself even though I didn't have all of the suggested tools, just a screwdriver and small adjustable wrench. Having the right tools would have been even easier.
The Best on the Market!

We needed a large Deck Storage for all my husbands BBQ equipment, charcoal and wood. We did a lot of research and this one was consistently the highest rated.
Large and durable

We bought two of these deck boxes. They were easy to assemble. We used one of them to store seat and back cushions for 4 big arm chairs (that's 8 cushions in total) plus there were still extra space to store 4 dining chair cushions. We used the other deck box to store all pool accessories, two large pool floats, two cushions for lounge chaise, beach balls, tubes, etc.. You won't believe how much stuff you can store in this container. They are sturdy and waterproof too. Very happy with this purchase.
Huge storage box, high quality, ease of assembly

This storage box for my patio is just what I needed. I store my shop vac in it as well as cushions for my chaise and chairs. It seems to be high quality, was easy to assemble, and closes securely. It saves me a lot of time not having to cart things from the basement to the patio - now I can just leave them in this great deck box.
One of the few deck boxes that fit a set of cushions
Doug from Danville, CA– Verified Buyer
One of these boxes fits the fairly puffy cushion set from our loveseat and two chairs plus 4 small throw pillows. It is was 1 taller it would be perfect for a set of thick padded cushions. As it is now, we have to put some weight on top to keep the lid completely closed during winter. There are no latches to hold the lid shut. There is only a small flat area with a hole in it where you could install a padlock. Weathertite for our purposes as delivered. but you could seal it inside fairly easily with silicone sealer if you need it to be totally weatherproof. After 2 years of use (1 in high-altitude Colorado and one in low altitude CA, it still looks like new.

This is a rare item which exceeds expectations and gives great value. It is quite huge so don't be surprised by the size - an adult could lie down in it! It's easy to put together because the bottom and sides snap and slide together so it is "whole" before needing to add any hardware. VERY strong and although I don't know how it will wear, my guess by seeing the quality of the pieces is that it will be very durable. I may run a bead of silicone around the inside bottom edges.
Best deck box by far!
Richard from Charlestown, IN– Verified Buyer
I spent several hours over about a week checking out deck boxes online and in stores. This was EASILY my #1 choice. It is extremely well made, relatively easy to assemble, and very sturdy. There were some deck boxes whose appearance was more appealing, but when I saw each in person, it's construction made me keep this one at the top of my list.
