Lots of room for bluray and cd's
Anthony from decatur, IL – Verified Buyer
This thing will hold over 800 Bluray disks in standard size cases. That is impressive for the size. All the shelves are fully adjustable. The finish is a real nice dark cherry that has a nice dark red hue and matches our other dark cherry furniture nicely. This really should be attached to the wall if its on carpet, but hardwood or tile would be fine without it. The only con's with this purchase is the packaging, which could be much better if there was a full piece of foam between the 2 layers of cardboard. The second con is the lack of stain in the corners of the window openings. There is stain there, but its not fully covered. This is easy to fix as a little dark cherry stain rubbed over these spots blend it right in. If it were not for the finish issues this would have been a 5 star rating.
Very Nice Cabinet
Hal from Dix, IL – Verified Buyer
Very handsome, works well with mission/craftsman decor and well made. Only three issues from a 5 star, instructions are all graphic, require study, clamping system is tricky, and it needs a connection to a wall to be child safe. Price seems high until you open three heavy boxes and see how many parts are required. Definitely a two person assembly job after first few steps, and you need a large Phillips screwdriver to set the clamps.
I'm Extremely Picky!
Michael from Haymarket, VA – Verified Buyer
I purchase tons of things (perhaps too many)! I can honestly say that this item is one of my most prized possessions. This sits in my new theater room holding all of my media collection. Beautiful color and design! When you open up the double sliding doors to the room... Bam!... it's there! I may get around to adding some small LED lighting inside the cabinet due to the fact that theater room color is so dark. I got tired of picking up CDs, DVDs, VHS Tapes, Play Station disks, Wii disks, computer software, etc. from all over the house only to find them scattered again the next day. Now whenever I see misplaced media... in the cabinet it goes (I'm a neat freak too)!

Purchased this to finally have a place to store our +300 DVDs and +100 wii/xbox/ps game collection. This cabinet stored them all and has room to spare for future purchases. It looks great and has solid construction. I do wish it had handles on either side of each door panel because it can be a little difficult to grab the back panel if the handle part slides behind the front panel. But even with that I give it 5 stars because of the construction vs. cost. Overall an excellent buy! Pros: Solid construction, nice finish, solid shelves that won't bow, looks great. Cons: Back door panel can be awkward to fish out from behind the front panel if you slide the rear door all the way behind the front one.
Perfect product, matches description!

This unit is absolutely gorgeous, a little labor intensive to put together but well worth the effort. The cherry wood is rich and adds a little elegance with the glass doors. They just give it that finishing touch! It's sturdy and well built material. The top of the unit can be used for knick knacks or a book set with book ends as it is just tall enough that you can use it to feature some of your decorative items. And you can hang pictures above it because it's not so tall it takes up the entire wall! It's a great addition to the furniture! Great value for the money! Sturdy construction, real glass doors give it a fabulous look. Rich cherry finish adds to any room. A little labor intensive to build but well worth the effort.
Makes all the Difference

I love this cabinet. It does everything I wished it to do. I would definitely buy another one if I ever had the need. As to construction, my 36 year old son, who happened to be visiting, put it together quickly and without incident. He is very good at putting things together, so that was terrific. The doors work perfectly and the adjustability of the shelves is a great help. We put all of our VHSs,CDs, and DVDs in the cabinet, with a little room for move. Everything fits neatly. The nine inch depth is perfect. The oak color works well - it is a warm tone and looks authentic. The cabinet is also quite sturdy. I thought we would have to bolt it to the wall, but that was not necessary at all. It is free standing (against a wall) and does not move when we slide open the doors or fuss with the contents. It is quite heavy. When the 3 boxes were delivered, the UPS man needed an assistant to help him get them to my door. My husband and I needed help to get the boxes to the right room. So, this is not light weight. One caveat - one of the top corners is slightly damaged. It would be nice if that were fixed. But, all in all, I would without reservation recommend this cabinet. It certainly does great work of organizing all the media and it does it handsomely as well. I am very happy with this purchase.
Love this cabinet!

The Leslie Dame 1400 glass door multimedia cabinet was beautiful, I purchased it to use as a jewelry display piece in my co-op, Assembly was fast and easy for one person working alone and can be completed in under two hours. The finished product is surprisingly sturdy Costwise, it is a genuine bargain when compared with many cheaper and shoddier as well as comparably fine and more expensive alternatives. I expect that I will buy a second one for my media collection. I can see this as a kitchen pantry too.
Beautiful, efficient DVD CD storage

The Leslie Dame 1400 glass door multimedia cabinet is a beautiful piece of living room or office furnishing that efficiently and accessibly stores mega-collections of DVDs andor CDs. Assembly is fast and easy for one person working alone and can be completed in under two hours. The finished product is gorgeous and sturdy and a fine accessory in any room in your home. Costwise, it is a genuine bargain when compared with many cheaper and shoddier as well as comparably fine and more expensive alternatives. I will very probably buy a second one to keep up with my own expandin media collection.

Expect to take a day to put this together like a pro would. No reading required. Has a visual schematic. I guess it saves trying to create it in multiple languages. Just make sure to lay everything out as shown and place hardware with each step in advance so you don't use the wrong stuff. The twist double sided retainers (three each) used with the twist locking nuts need to be one eigth of an inch longer or there abouts. One side of each of the rear support braces cracks when you tighten the opposite end of the double retainer. That's the only fault I found with everything. Just dont tighten it snugly, and instead think about screwing it down (eight screws should have been included in the hardware set from now on for safety measure's) against the wall into the joist's behind the drywall. This would also be a good idea when children live with you. Other than that it's a beautiful unit. Mine is oak finish over particle/sawdust board but it has a real wood texture. I put mine together, but you really need a second person's help to "partially" upright it to install the rear veneer panels (unless) you have an additional six feet of floor space to install them. No hardware missing, BUT, no EXTRA stuff either, so be careful not to loose or break anything. Everyone comments on how beautiful it looks. The shelves can be moved to oblige ANY video or audio media. CD's, Blu-Ray's, DVD's and both regular cased and fancy cased VHS's. "BUY IT". Believe me you won't be disappointed. Just remember to take your time assembling it.

The overall appearance of these units is beautiful. The oak veneer in the cherry stain holds up against any piece of fine wood furniture. The doors roll smooth and enough shelves are provided to accommodate all CD's if that is what you want. If you are using the cabinet for just DVD's, you will have several unused shelves. We bought two of these units. [...] The first cabinet took over three hours to unpack and assemble, the second about two hours. Assembly hint: perform step one with the vertical members on the floor, not standing up as the instructions imply. The unit is held together with pegs, cam fasteners s and some screws and is very solid when completed.Given the alternative for high capacity media storage which includes plain black open shelving or a big square twirling tower, there is no better choice then to buy this unit. This cabinet not only provides a large capacity solution but gives you a nice piece of furniture to enhance the look of your media room. Overall a great buy!
