I got this in the cherry and it's a dark cherry .. very nice looking cabinet.. keep in mind the price ladies n gentleman.. for the price it's amazing. You get more shelves than you are able to use and I stored the extra 2 that I didn't use behind the cabinet. this is not a bad thing because it makes the cabinet flexible. If you are storing mainly DVD's you are going to have 5 shelves of 35 DVD's across.. very neat and visible. That's 175 DVD's. The description says 185 I think but you can put some cross ways in front of the other so yes you can probably easily get another 10 in if not more. If you are going to store CD's than you are likely to use additional shelving.. again it's all flexible. I have more DVD's and would buy another in a heartbeat.. just not sure where to put it. The footprint is small I think. The pros? neat, dust free, open the doors and the DVD's are visible easily, attractive. You may need to slip something under the front of the cabinet in the corner if you are putting it on a carpet that may not be perfect. (not uncommon with something of these dimensions) happy happy ..glad I made the purchase!

I've had this about 4 weeks now, and am very happy with the product overall. I purchased the dark cherry, and the finish is almost identical in person to what you see in the picture. It was simple to put together, and is very sturdy. I am using mine strictly for cd storage, and notice the same "lean" issue other people have, I have mine against a wall, so that wasn't a problem for me necessarily. About the only thing I would like to see if it were up to me, is offering extra shelves. I have a lot of dead space in between shelves that could be used by adding another row of discs, however, users storing DVD/Blu-Ray/VHS wouldn't have this issue

My order was shipped the day after I placed it and arrived right on time. The storage cabinet was double boxed for protection, and the inner carton was double thick with scraps of wood covering the sides and plastic corners to prevent damage there. When I unpacked everything, it was in perfect condition. The cabinet was relatively easy for me to assemble by myself, although a step-by-step instruction sheet would have been helpful. I docked it one star because of the sparse instructions. Be sure to open the cam locks fully before attempting to insert the pins. After I had a problem with one of the cams on the base, I gave the rest an extra couple of backwards turns before attempting to assemble them and they worked fine. The doors were easy to assemble and hang, and they open and close securely. I put small rubber cups under the front corners so there wouldn't be a tipping problem on carpet. I am very happy with the quality appearance of the finished cabinet and wouldn't hesitate to buy another of these items when my DVD/BluRay collection grows enough that I need it.
great value for an attractive cabinet

The hardest thing about working with this cabinet was moving the boxes into my house after UPS left them on my doorstep. The boxes were quite heavy! (Which explains why the UPS driver left them where he did.) I've purchased several build-it-yourself items over the years and this is probably the best piece of boxed furniture I've found. The quality is very good-- it's solid, feels and looks more like wood than veneer, and a nice design both aesthetically and functionally. I liked that the back panel slides into grooves rather than being nailed on. I took another commenter's suggestion and laid the cabinet on the floor to attach the doors (not something I would have thought to do on my own) and that worked well. I purchased two cabinets in the walnut color and have one on either side of a mission-style entertainment center and they look terrific. A great product at a great price. I know I would have paid much more for a similar piece of furniture at a retail store.
Love this cabinet!

We ordered this cabinet for storing our DVD's and love it! The quality of this product for the money is exceptional. The only reason we didn't rate it five stars was due to the fact that once we got it all together, we discovered that they had sold us a package with two right hand doors. I called them immediately and they apologized and said they would order us a left hand door from the manufacturer. We were told it would take up to 10 days to receive it. Eight days later we received an email stating that the door was not available from the manufacturer so they would shipping us another completely new cabinet. We received it three days later. The customer service at Wayfair is amazing. The second cabinet was perfect and the first cabinet is now a very nice bookcase! Great Value, Easy Assembly, Quality Product
Very good piece of furniture for the price

I'm really pleased with this purchase. The finished cabinet is sturdy, and all the pieces align well after assembly so it doesn't look cheap. The style is clean and simple, and the glass-paned doors and rustic handles make it interesting. I also like the size of the cabinet - it's large enough to easily contain our 250+ CDs and DVDs, but doesn't take up a whole lot of space and fits nicely tucked in between the end of the couch and the corner of the room. Assembly was time-consuming due to the number of pieces (and I'm not the swiftest at this sort of thing), but was not difficult. For the price, this is a very decent cabinet - much better quality than others I have purchased for the same or a higher price.

We recently ordered a media storage cabinet from Wayfair.com. The posted specifications of this product DO NOT match what was delivered. 1. Joinery Type: Dovetail - NOT SO, the Butted Joints are held together with wood dowels and RTA connectors (http:easylink.hafele.comis-binINTERSHOP.enfinityWFSHDE-INT-EasyLinkHDE-INT-SiteenEN-EURHaefeleBrowseCatalog-CategoryCatalogCategoryIDHsvAqBlZDeYAAAE6mqMvXFPn) 2. Material: Solid Oak - NO. It is medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) with a real wood' veneer. 3. Solid Wood Construction: YES - NOT SO, it is particle board with a wood veneer. Very disappointing to see this poor quality item next to our Solid Wood furniture throughout the house. Basically Wayfair advertised Real Wood furniture, solid oak and send particle board with wood veneer.
5 star definitely!

This cabinet was ordered in the evening and was delivered only 2 days later. It was packaged very good. The color on the web site accurately shows the color I ordered which was walnut. It is a darker walnut and matches our other furniture very well. I am very handy and it took me 1 hour to assemble. I have looked for almost 2 months for this type of cabinet and can honestly say this is the real deal! In most cases you get what you pay for but this was a bargain for this item. I would highly recommend this to anyone that would like to display and easily access their media in a piece that is real furniture not junk!

We love this unit. I did not give it the full 5 stars due to the finish which was not even on the cross bars. We ordered one of these which came to us perfect. However, we found it was not big enough to hold all of our dvds. Since the dvds are taller, you end up with 5 shelves which hold approximately 200 dvds. It was easy to assemble and the darker cherry stain is rich looking. I was disappointed with the finish on the doors - the stain is rather light at the joints. However, I chose not to return it as it took forever to get it. Apparently it is quite popular and the manufacturer was having difficulty keeping up with the orders. Having doors on the unit helps prevent the dust from accumulating on the movies. I would highly recommend this.

Not made of "oak wood" as described....compressed wood with oak veneer. Very flimsy backing...1/8 inch thick, very slight damage to upper corner of side panel. Color of backing did not match walnut color of cabinet, although you don't see much of it when the cabinet is full. Overall it looks as pictured, plenty of storage for my needs.
