Andrea NewEngland from Boston, Mass.	3.0 10/10/2011 Not the optimal dimensions OK, I really hate it when people write in reviews that something is smaller or shorter than they thought. I think, that's pretty stupid, the dimensions are there in the description. But even knowing that and reading the reviews, I was surprised at how BIG and short this crock is. It is really pretty, but the dimensions are just wrong for your utensils to be supported instead of tipping over. I kept thinking of ways to use it other than holding utensils. Cookie Jar? Extra stuffing at Thanksgiving? Probably all of the above. But hey, if you have a ton of utensils and not a lot of drawer space, this is a great find. As I said, very pretty finish inside and out. Cookin Molly from Laguna Beach	5.0 7/10/2011 Looks great on my kitchen counter This is a nice big size that holds a LOT of utensils. I was able to free an entire drawer after filling the crock with all my tensils and there's still room for more. I agree with other comments regarding the depth not being quite enough to allow most utensils to stand more upright. They seem to fall to the sides too much unless you fill it with more utensils. It looks very nice on my kitchen counter next to my black stove. Was this helpful? Yes / No

It allows for approximately 20-30 utensils, which means I may to start shopping to fill it up :) I gave it a four star because it is "short and squaty," and I wish it was a few inches taller so the utensils stand more upright.
