Great light but very hard install
BD from DC
Sonneman makes beautiful lights which function well. However, I doubt they are getting enough feedback from users as to their mounting designs. I have a fair amount of experience with replacing home fixtures - this is the 1st Sonneman - it is a big and heavy fixture and is held on with 2 small nuts that aren't even textured enough to tighten easily - getting the 2 bolts in place was a major headache first. Getting confident with the installation took some time. So basically, once installed, you'll love it - just plan a lot more time and patience than you think. It's big and dramatic and modern and retro - you'll love it AFTER it's installed - 5 stars for the light 2 stars for installation.
great looking fixture. traditional shape with updated finish

This fixture looks great over a bistro table in my kitchen. I have very large polished nickel fixtures over my island, and this little gem complements them without competing.
great old, but modern look!

this is a huge light! [...] the glass is awesome, I would have preferred a brushed finish but the polished works fine in it's new home. The only down side to this light was that the posts are not variable or interchangeable which makes the light hang a bit lower than I had hoped.

the glass had a few lines instead of being opaque, unique shape, I wish there was an option to get the light in brushed chrome - the polished chrome is a bit cheap looking.
