Came in on time and the cost was reasonable

After a number of attempts with cheap washers from the home centers, we cracked the nut on this Kranzel 1600. It is mounted on a shelf and attached to a Cox reel and 100' no-mar hose. Living in the mid-west, we want the salt on the roads, not our trucks. Each truck is washed 1-2 times per week then parked in a heated garage to dry. We found we loose 10-12 psi with the 100' hose but it's set up for car washing and not paint removal. Opt for the downstream soap injector as the water flow is not strong enough for the upstream (Before the washer).

Product Review

My main use of a pressure washer is to clean small aluminum castings after removal from the molds. I use the machine in a set-up similar to a bead blast cabinet so a compact electric machine is a must. I was using a Karcher washer but it finally got to the point where I literally had to kick it to get the motor to start. Because of my frustrations with that machine's trouble prone pressure controlled on/off feature I wanted a machine with an unloader. I chose the Kranzle K1600 and am very pleased with it. My first impression of the machine was that it is quite heavy for a carry machine. I could have listed this as a "con" but didn't because I didn't feel that would be fair as the weight speaks to the quality of the construction. After setting it up and turning it on I was immediately impressed with how quiet it is. In fact when in the bypass mode it only makes a soft humming sound. Since I use it primarily indoors this is a real plus. Really the only thing I could fault about the washer is the large trigger/wand setup. This would probably not be an issue for most people. It is fine for washing off my garden tractor but it is too cumbersome for cleaning castings. I solved this by purchasing a smaller trigger gun, a short wand and a 6' whip hose. Now I use the smaller setup for cleaning castings and the larger/longer setup for everything else. Because of the large threaded hose attachment it is easy to swap hoses and I don't have to deal with 30' of hose when I don't need it.In summary I am very impressed with this machine and would recommend it to anyone who needs a small, portable electric machine. It may seem pricey when compared the Kartcher and similar machines sold at [...] but you get what you pay for. Compare it with other machines of comparable quality and the price is very competitive.

I would have liked a quicker notification of when the unit was shipped. The item was shipped promptly but I didn't get an email notification until the day before it arrived.
